I honestly was not that impressed. Heaven didn't look any more different to me than any of the other "realms/zones/etc..". I could easily imagine next week on TVD. Alaric finds a magic amulet that Bonnie can channel to get a message through to Stefan or her Mom. They spend 3-4 episodes bringing them back. Maybe they've just cried wolf in the whole Death department so many times that I just don't believe in it anymore. As for Elena and Damon's happiness. Did they not grow old together? Could it really have killed them to add a little makeup and actually show a full and happy life. Mandy Moore does an excellent job playing a Grandmother in "This is Us". It was a slap in the face to hear a dialog about them growing older while literally watching them be teenagers on screen. How the hell did Tyler get into heaven anyway? He literally had to kill someone to trigger his curse. Anyway, I'm just glad it's over. Elena was back for one episode and I already was getting sick of her again. The best part of this episode was Damon finally stepping up to be the big brother and Caroline.

The happy ending was so short after 8 seasons of suffering. Not even 2 minutes love between Elena and Daemon. Nice return from Jeremy and Tyler and a sad goodbye for Stefan and Caroline (over the phone WTF). Happy to see Stefan with Lexi, in what it seemed to be heaven, suggesting that his soul didn't have to spend eternity with Katherine. All together nice but I expected more. Thanks anyway for 8 great seasons.
