If these zombies are so superhumanly strong that they can rip off your whole face with suspiciously little effort and practically tear your whole arm to shreds with a simple pat on the shoulder (that shit's hard, I've tried), why can't they claw their way through a shitty wooden wall? Or glass? Or a fence? I don't care if you're dead, you can't just grab a chunk of a person OFF of them like they're a Costco birthday cake and eat it (go ahead, try it)! Do they have knife hands? Also, why does NO ONE refer to them as zombies?
All that aside, great show.

Maybe because zombies was never thought of at those times also I see your point on the tearing of limbs but I must say it is more than one zombie pulling at one area of the bodies with a lot of force of course they would rip limbs off your body you are being attacked by a pack of those flesh eating mother fuckers

One theory I have heard is that the part of our brain that trys to keep us from hurting ourselves is not working, so the walkers are not so much super strong, but uncaring of damage to themselves. It could explain why people can sometimes get away from the walkers without getting grabbed. The walkers have damaged their bodies to much to get a solid grip.

They cannot break through a fence or a wooden wall because they are not actually pushing with they hands or their chests, they are just trying to walk through it like nothing is there. They are actually super hungry and obviously they don't feel pain so they probably grab onto someones face or hand as hard as possible. Have some imagination :D
