Started out okay, then became boring and predictable.

One of the best horror shows I've ever seen, even next 2 the movies. TWD maybe a tv-show, but it's one where you don't want it to end.
It's thrilling, but also you start 2 care 4 some of the characters (isn't Norman "Darryl" Reedus cute, or what), allthough they r all likely 2 die at some point, (SPOILER) like Hershell (didn't see that one coming). The characters r very well played, even the zombies r very good, the special FX, the whole shabang, developed by the same man that created The Mist from Stephen King, Frank Darabont.

What went wrong?
The plot is good: mankind gets almost eliminated by a virus that brings back the dead (ok, nothing new there) and a handful of people band together to fight the odds.
But honestly (for me) they messed it up along the way. I no longer care for any of the characters in that show. C'mon zombies, eat their brains and be done with it.
I mean, they fight those "walkers" now for a few years, they even have encountered devious humans and still they get trapped...the learning curve for them seems lower then that of someone with IDD.
This show is as dead as the walkers who are zombies...

Edit: I actually watched the whole midseason premiere s6e9, without skipping through the boring stuff. The writers of this show are great, they had some new ideas: give the main cast an alleged safe haven that makes their life better, let them make some new (again alleged) allies and take it all away, probably kill off or injure some main cast, and some new friends to make the audience care and voilá.....no wait, that's not new, we had that with the farm, the science stattion, the prison, the train station and this nice little town...by the ratings of others, I can tell that a great many do like that show, and that's ok, but seriously, I have to asume that the long-term memory has suffered due to too much TV show exposure. My rating stands. This show was great in the first 2 or 3 years, but not it is rotting away...

Been really into this for a while but now I haven't watched for months and I've yet to see the last couple of seasons. We'll see what happens.

I Love "THE WALKING DEAD" for post apocalyptic/pandemic drama horror at its finest ever, always has me thinking WHAT IF? how people(general public) would behave and or react in a similar circumstance of survival.
