When Kevin tries out for the football team and gets cut for being too short and small, he is introduced to the new sport of soccer, where the school's misfit team, made up of dorks, geeks, and nerds welcome him. After meeting the old uncaring coach, Pops "The Bear" McIntyre (Paul Dooley) due to his much missed champion football days, Kevin joins the team in an attempt to become involved in school sports. But he becomes frustrated with the team's lackluster performance and his apathetic coach. He desperately tries to improve the team's image and their upcoming inaugural season. On game day, their high hopes are dashed when faced with a superior opponent. But Pops becomes a caring coach again after hearing Kevin's inspirational speech, even though they lose, the team chemistry is what's important. Guest starring as Kevin's soccer teams: Andrew Berman as Chuck Coleman ("Mr. Fidget"), Brice Beckham as Nick Bott, Trenton Teigen as Andy Collin, and Ryan Holihan as Leigh Fitzpatrick.
