X Factor 2013 Top 4: Ratings Fall Again for — But How Much?

Season 3 of The X Factor is almost over: The 2013 finale airs just next week. Sadly, though, ratings for the Simon Cowell-fronted singing competition aren’t picking up as the show races towards its climax. The December 13 episode saw country boy band Restless Road eliminated from the competition, and a total of 4.9 million viewers tuned in to watch the show. That’s more viewers than tuned in for NBC’s The Sing Off, but sadly, the rival show ended up with a higher demo rating: 1.4 to the X... http://feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/q9KK0aKsR20/2013-12-13-top-4-ratings-fall-again

X Factor 2013: Restless Road Eliminated! Country Boy Band Reacts

Do you hear that? It’s the sound of a million heartbroken teenage girls all letting out a collective sob. During Thursday night’s episode of The X Factor 2013, the adorable trio known as Restless Road was officially eliminated from the competition. The country boy band actually seemed like they had a chance of winning the whole competition. Girls love boy bands — and have you seen a country version of One Direction anywhere? No, you haven’t. TV ratings: 'Scandal' rises with fall finale and 'Big Bang Theory' tops Thursday

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013The fall finales of "Scandal" and "Grey's Anatomy" delivered ratings gains for ABC Thursday, with both shows growing in both viewers and adults 18-49 and helping ABC score a solid second place for the night.First place went to CBS, which per usual was led by "The Big Bang Theory." The Eye's numbers will likely come down some as its Denver and San Diego affiliates aired an NFL game, but its lead should hold. Elsewhere Thursday, "The Vampire Diaries" and "Reign" rose a bit in viewers over last week. "The Sing-Off" dropped some from Wednesday's episode but stayed in front of "The X Factor" in adults 18-49.CBS averaged 11.3 million viewers and a 7.0 rating/11 share in households for the night, pending updates for the local NFL broadcasts. X Factor 2013: Should [Spoiler] Have Gone Home?

Okay, so we fully realize that tonight’s elimination on Season 3 of The X Factor isn’t as big of an upset as if say, Alex & Sierra had gone home. But it still certainly comes as a shock. During the December 12 episode of The X Factor 2013, favorite country boy band Restless Road was sent packing. That’s right. Country crooners Zach Beeken, Colton Pack, and Andrew Scholz are officially out of the competition. The Top 3 contenders are Alex & Sierra from Simon Cowell’s groups, Jeff Gutt... http://feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/72TMpuacqNk/2013-12-12-should-restless-road-gone-home

'The X Factor': Restless Road think Alex and Sierra will win

A lot of times the acts kicked off of "The X Factor" are in tears talking to reporters backstage after their elimination. That wasn't the case for Restless Road, who were cut one week shy of making the Season 3 finals. The boys were as happy and energetic as ever when discussing their cut. "We're just happy to make it as far as we did because we almost didn't make it anywhere past the second round," Andrew Scholz tells Zap2it. "We got nos in the boys category, then we got put in this group which was just a blessing. We're so happy to be where we are." Their mentor, Simon Cowell, looked mighty disappointed when the boys didn't advance to the last week, but Zach Beeken says Simon knows they tried their best. "Simon really wanted us to be in the finals -- as did we -- and then we didn't make it there and... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/the-x-factor-restless-road-think-alex-and-sierra-will-win.html

X Factor 2013: Who Went Home? — December 12, 2013

You guys, this time next week we’ll know who the Season 3 winner of The X Factor is. Crazy, right? After a seemingly endless line-up of brutal double eliminations, we’ve finally reached a week when just one person is going home but that hardly made tonight’s (December 12) show any easier. In the one-hour elimination episode we faced one of the toughest Bottom Twos yet. With each semifinalist performing two songs this week — one selected by a judge and the other his or her choosing — there... http://feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/dehM_xMNtRs/2013-12-12-who-went-home-december-12

X Factor 2013: Alex & Sierra Top iTunes — Second Week in a Row!

We guess Sierra Deaton of The X Factor’s dynamic duo Alex & Sierra shouldn’t have worried if she and boyfriend Alex Kinsey could recreate the magic of last week. Their duet of Sara Bareilles’s “Gravity” has hit number two on iTunes less than 24 hours after they debuted the number on the December 11 Live Show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The good news comes on the heels of the couple’s stunning success of last week; their take on “Say Something” by A Great Big World claimed the... http://feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/Od1DAKNJ0e8/2013-12-12-alex-sierra-top-itunes-chart

'The X Factor' results: Did Restless Road or Jeff Gutt go home?

"The X Factor" might get less fanfare than its older sibling, "American Idol," but the final four acts remaining in Season 3 are worthy of as many accolades as the superstars on any other reality singing competition. It was a hard competition, but finally we narrowed down the semifinalists: groups Restless Road and Alex and Sierra, over 25-er Jeff Gutt, and boy Carlito Olivero, to the three finalists competing for the Season 3 title. Who made it? The episode began with a delightfully chaste group number of Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger," and was followed by an extensive package recapping the Top 4 performance night. This essentially proved the uselessness of results shows, and the fact that it takes an hour to eliminate one act is kind of insane. Mario Lopez then rapidly asked each act a question, providing ample opportunity for Miss America-style answers: we love everyone, everybody deserves to be here, I hope I'm not... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/the-x-factor-top-4-results-did-restless-road-jeff-gutt-make-the-finals.html
