This is Gonna Hurt: The Documentaries is a six part series that delves further into the themes and experiences that inspired the upcoming Nikki Sixx book and Sixx:A.M. CD "This is Gonna Hurt." The interviews and behind the scenes footage capture the stories and inspirations behind both the upcoming book and CD, giving the viewer a first-hand glimpse into each band member and photo subject's life experiences. The themes include self-image, alienation, personal beauty, love, relationships, family and dealing with one's demons. It is a unique, three dimensional portrait of Nikki's different approaches to photography and Sixx:A.M.'s collective collaboration on the record relative to the themes of the book.
