News for True Blood

Jim Parrack on His True Blood Return, Hoyts Dream Girl, and Drinking Blood IRL

Warning: This interview contains minor spoilers for Almost Home, the latest episode of True Blood .   Earlier this season, when Jason Stackhouse called up his old friend Hoyt Fortenberry to let him know his mother died ,you just knew wed soon be seeing Hoyt back in Bon Temps, not only to bury his mother and take care of her possessions, but also, quite possibly, to bump into his ex Jessica. Hoyt and Jessica had too much history from their meet-cute at Merlottes all the way up through to her glamouring him so that hed forget her for them not to interact onscreen again. But to save her and Jason both in one fell swoop? Thats a final-season True Blood reunion done right. Jim Parrack, who plays Hoyt, called up Vulture while en route to the airport for his first vacation in my adult life to chat about drinking blood, bursting vampires, and Hoyts hero complex.   Read More... http://www.vulture.com/2014/08/jim-parrack-true-blood-hoyt-fortenberry-chat.html

True Bloods Chris Bauer on Manly Andy, Working Through Addiction, and Rescuing Moles

Andy Bellefleur, the character Chris Bauer plays on True Blood ,started out as comic relief, but as the show has progressed into its seventh and final season, he has evolved into the kind of guy you can legitimately cheer for. And so much has happened to him! [ Warning: There are spoilers from here on out, so come back after youve watched May Be the Last Time, the most recent episode of True Blood .]   For every high weve rooted for (e.g., proposing to his girlfriend ), theres been a corresponding, and usually bizarre, low for us to ponder, such as when his faery children went missing or became tasty vampire snacks . This week, while searching for his only surviving faery daughter, he finally reached his breaking point and had what Bauer calls a total collapse, just existentially not being able to manage anymore. (And it's not because the birth mother warned him that he had a sacred duty to see that at least two of them survived to adulthood). Bauer chatted with Vulture during his own rescue mission (saving an animal that fell in his pool) about freaking out, slut-shaming, and overcoming addiction on screen and off.   Read More... http://www.vulture.com/2014/08/chris-bauer-andy-bellefleur-true-blood-chat.html

Top Moments: Sharknado 2 Bites Off More Buzz, Bachelorette's Awkward Sex Talk

Our top moments of the week: 10. Best Impression: We're just going to pretend Zach's ridiculous gameplay this week on Big Brother is his impersonation of the recently evicted Devin. The highlight of Zach's stupidity comes at the nomination ceremony, where he compares alliance member Christine to notorious Season 14 floater Jenn and calls ...     http://www.tvguide.com/News/TopMoments-Sharknado-Bachelorette-1085124.aspx?rss=breakingnews

'True Blood': Is This It for Bill Compton?

In episode 6 of True Blood season 7, we learned a few things: A) Bill is definitely infected, B) His infection is accelerating at a crazy pace, and C) Sookie infected him. Although Bill is definitely on death's door, that doesn't mean he's going to die. Like any romance novel, one of the lover's HAVE to go through some kind of transformation or near-death experience for the other person to forgive them for whatever they've done. In this case, Bill almost killed Sookie, he betrayed her, he turned into a wack job prophet/vamp god, and basically was the worst boyfriend in the world. Why would Sookie ever get back together with him unless...he almost died? http://www.buddytv.com/articles/true-blood/true-blood-is-this-it-for-bill-54204.aspx
