'Two and a Half Men' series finale: Charlie Sheen's spirit lives on

It's been rumored for months that the "Two and a Half Men" series finale found a way to bring Charlie Sheen back. Well, it did not, but not from lack of trying. The set-up for a Sheen return was certainly there. In the opening scene, it was revealed that Rose (Melanie Lynskey) has trapped Charlie Harper in a pit a la "Silence of the Lambs" serial killer Buffalo Bill. But she's been keeping him in a steady diet of "tuna on toast with vodka" and a fresh supply of bowling shirts, so that's not too bad, right? It turns out after they got married, Charlie cheated on Rose while they were honeymooning in Paris. So Rose confined him to the pit and faked his death. This flashback plays out via animated Charlie and Rose, so up to this point -- no actual Sheen yet. Two and a Half Men Review: Seeking Godzilla

After my complaints last week , Two and a Half Men went ahead and proved me wrong on the Season 10 finale, cranking out a terrific episode. It had everything: Walden finally acted like a mature individual, Alan acted like a responsible father and even Berta grew emotional. That’s a very unusual sight. Two and a Half Men Review: A Man of No Integrity

With this being the penultimate episode of the season, Two and a Half Men put out a rather tepid half-hour.
