News for Undercovers

Undercovers Digs into the Blooms' Past to Ensure Its Future

They've traveled to Tuscany to capture a biological weapon formula and to England to recover an important hard drive. But now Undercovers' married spy team, Steven and Samantha Bloom, will face their biggest mission yet: finding out the real reason they were recruited back to the CIA. Starting in Wednesday's episode, airing at 8/7c on NBC, the spy drama will diverge from its mission-of-the-week format to explore this new serialized storyline. Although the Blooms were supposedly brought back for a very specific assignment, they will soon discover their boss, Shaw, has a very different agenda. "The mythology is represented by Shaw and his boss, and the plan they have for the Blooms," star Boris Kodjoe tells us. "Every episode we find out new elements and new aspects about this master plan that was in place even before they came back to the CIA." To Read More Click Here.

Undercovers Recruits Alan Dale for Recurring Role

The 63-year-old actor will play James Kelvin, the boss of Shaw (Gerald McRaney) and the man responsible for bringing Steven and Samantha Bloom back to the CIA. Although the couple were told they were recruited to rescue Leo Nash, the real reason involves elements from the Blooms' past in which Kelvin is interested. He will make his first appearance in Episode 11, but viewers will begin hearing his voice in episode 8. Dale is best known for his work on Lost, Ugly Betty and The O.C. 'Undercovers' 1.04 Preview: Bluff or No Bluff?

"Undercovers" next mission is "Jailbreak". When a vital CIA hard drive goes missing, Steven and Samantha must travel to Dublin, Ireland in search of a prisoner who holds the key to its location. The new series coming from J.J. Abrams has passed its crucial second and third episodes but despite Abrams' name behind it, the ratings are still unable to match those by fellow new shows "Law & Order: Los Angeles" and "Outsourced". "Undercovers" in fact is competing with "Chuck" in the race against cancellation. However, it still fares well compared to "Outlaw" which production has been halted. Source & Preview

UNDERCOVERS ''Devices'' Review Episode 3

I do not think anyone loves this show. I don't mean the viewers, but the people behind it. The creative team who make the show may just consider it a job and not art, which all forms of entertainment are. My suspicions are brought on by the title of the episode:  Device . Really? A title should be fun: think of Breaking Bad's third season title  I.F.T.  I kept thinking, ooh, maybe that's a new organization or a branch of the police. It was actually an acronym for the wife's cold confession to her separated husaband: I Fucked Ted. Brilliant! Think of The Big Bang Theory and all of their whimsical titles:  The Vartabedian Conundrum or  The Cruciferous Vegetable Amplification . Or even Alias with their solemn, ambiguous titles: Snowman ,  Masquerade ,  Page 47 . But  Device ? Really? For a spy show? Blergh. The main plot was plucked from the recycling plant of  overused spy genre plot devices (oh, now I get it!) for mediocre, unloved, uncreative shows . A patient from a mental hospital in Germany is kidnapped; he is a genius codebreaker. This requires him to tap furiously on the keypad whilst dazzling lights and boxes pop up on screen. He has to look constipated doing so, nibbling on quirky jellybeans, otherwise we'll know he's totally not a hacker. To Read More  Click Here .
