News for Up All Night

'Up All Night,' 'Whitney' get full seasons on NBC

NBC has picked up full seasons of its freshman comedies "Up All Night" and "Whitney."The two shows have performed reasonably well in competitive timeslots thus far this fall. "Up All Night" debuted to more than 10 million viewers behind the finale of "America's Got Talent" on Sept. 14, then has averaged about 5.7 million viewers and a 2.3 rating in among adults 18-49 in its regular 8 o'clock Wednesday home. Those aren't great numbers, but they're significantly better than what the network aired in the timeslot last season."Whitney," meanwhile, has averaged 6.1 million viewers and a 2.9 rating in the demo. Through its first two episodes it has retained about 78 percent of the 18-49 rating from its lead-in, "The Office," and 85 percent of total viewers."We made comedy an important goal for us this season, and I'm very pleased to be making full-season commitments to both 'Whitney' and 'Up All Night.'" Will Forte Teaches Chris the 'Flex' to Sexy Up His Marriage on 'Up All Night' (VIDEO)

This week's 'Up All Night' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC) explored a truth that new parents generally discover quite abruptly one day. They've stopped caring about how they look around the house ... and sometimes in public, too. This tends to be more difficult for the men to handle, which is why Chris wound up reaching out to a fellow new father, played by Will Forte, for advice. Reed (Forte) agrees to come over to teach Chris a few tricks to get Reagan to make more of an effort. The idea is for Chris to sex up his image a bit, which Reed showed him has a lot to do with your clothing, and especially your underwear. While showing off his "sexy" briefs, he let Chris in on the power of the glute flex, which lifts and adds volume to your rear-end. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/09/29/will-forte-teaches-chris-the-flex-to-sexy-up-his-marriage-on/

'Up All Night': Flash back to the '90s with Maya Rudolph and Jorma Taccone

Wednesday's episode of "Up All Night" will have a particular "Saturday Night Live" flavor to it.Former "SNL" regular Will Forte is guest-starring in the episode as a fellow stay-at-home dad whom Chris (Will Arnett) meets in the park, and who offers advice on how to bring the sexy back into Chris and Reagan's (Christina Applegate) post-baby relationship. The episode will also feature Jorma Taccone -- one third of the Lonely Island team behind "SNL's" digital shorts -- as one of Ava's (Maya Rudolph) exes, B-Ro. The news that he's getting married sends her into a tailspin, and gives us the opportunity to see this sweet flashback to their time as '90s pop stars. In other "Up All Night" news, EW reports that Richard Schiff ("The West Wing," "The Cape") will guest-star as Reagan's dad later in the season. Amy's grandpa is a psychologist who's a little distant and always analyzing behavior. That should be a fun... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/09/up-all-night-flash-back-to-the-90s-with-maya-rudolph-and-jorma-taccone.html

Chris and Reagan Update Facebook to Look Cooler on 'Up All Night' (VIDEO)

Chris and Reagan are still adjusting to being new parents, while Eva is struggling with not being liked by the baby on 'Up All Night' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC). It was great to see that Eva will not be dominating the show, as the more genuine and awkward moments at home with the Brinkleys are where the heart of this show lies. This week, when a couple of cool neighbors moved in across the street, the couple lamented that they couldn't be the free spirits they were before having a baby. But they so wanted to impress the new neighbors, they were willing to try and fake it. One solution was to make sure their Facebook pages were cool enough. We loved the list of things that Chris 'Likes,' including Lipitor. But even better was Reagan's page, which she hadn't updated since announcing she was going to the hospital to have the baby. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/09/22/chris-reagan-update-facebook-look-cooler-up-all-night-video/
