A interview with Kirsten Bell here's the full link : Question: Your lack of reporting on the Veronica Mars movie has me feeling like itâs DOA. Any news on it? â Andrew Ausiello: Yep, but it ainât good. At last weekendâs Saturn Awards, Kristen Bell told us, âI donât think it will ever happen, and hereâs why: [Series creator] Rob Thomas and I had a powwow, and we were both 100 percent on board. We took our proposal to Warner Bros. and Joel Silver told us that there is no enthusiasm [there] to make a Veronica Mars movie, and that is unfortunately a roadblock we cannot compete with.â But â like the rest of us, I suspect â she isnât giving up hope. âMaybe if we bombard them with letters?â she suggests. âMaybe [then] they will change their tune.â What are you waiting for, a written invitation from Veronica Mars herself? Start bombarding Warner Bros. with letters!

Veronica Mars comes to freeview on Thursday 16th June. It starts right from the pilot and is on E4 at 7:25 am and then repeated at 11:05 am. It is on between Desperate Housewives and Gilmore Girls. About time the UK TV caught up and put the show on a decent channel. Enjoy!
Veronica Mars I'm so sorry everybody -it seems the VM movie is dead and gone already. Last week Kristen Bell told EW: "I don't think it will ever happen, and here's why: [Series creator] Rob Thomas and I had a powwow, and we were both 100 percent on board. We took our proposal to Warner Bros. and Joel Silver told us that there is no enthusiasm [there] to make a Veronica Mars movie, and that is unfortunately a roadblock we cannot compete with." The Big Bang Theory "Wolowitz" aka Simon Helberg teases, "We are still on summer vacation -- we go back August 5 -- and I have not seen the first script," he admits, "I just saw Jim Parsons (Sheldon) , and he certainly did let on that he knew something. I just assume they will pick up right where we left off in terms of the North Poleâââ¬Ã¦ Maybe we needed to eat Sheldon to survive." All kidding aside, what would the actor like to see happen this season? "It'd be interesting to see [Wolowitz] try to move out [of his mother's basement]. I would also like him to meet his father, and I would like his father to be Ringo Starr. How cool would it be if Wolowitz is the son of a Beatle? [Besides] I would actually like pants I can breathe in and an operational fly so I don't have to pull down my pants to my ankles every time I need to pee." Scrubs The speculations that our favourite Gilmore Girls Lauren Graham would join the staff at the new school of Scrubs are sadly not going to happen either. House Is our House going to be different when he gets out of the psych-ward? Not if Robert Sean Leonard has anything to say: "It would be like Quincy suddenly getting nice and loving examining dead bodies. There are certain things that are just givens about the show, and one is the general makeup of Houseâââ‰â¢s attitude and personality. He may stop hallucinating but heâââ‰â¢d never stop being sarcastic." Adds series creator David Shore: "It depends on how we define better. That is the question. How sick is he? Does House want to get better? Can he get better? And how much better? And how much will the team be told and how will the dynamic shift with House away? Those are the questions we are going to deal with in the first bunch of episodes, and perhaps even the whole season to a certain extent." Heroes Yup, Claire is going hot'n'heavy next season on Heroes. The person in question is the collage room-mate Rachel Melvin's new character, Annie. As a result rumours have been spreading that Hayden Panettiere tried to get out of her contract; "I love my job and I love where I am," she maintains. "Heroes has been such a massive part of my life. I've been doing it for four years, and at times you get restless; I think anyone would in any job. But I love what I do. I love my job. I love my cast members. They're all my family. I don't pay attention to rumors like that. That's why they're called rumors. 'Cause they're rumors." Lost May's series finale is going to be a real downer, predicts Michael Emerson. "I don't think Lost will have a happy ending," he confessed at the Saturn Awards. "It's the end and I think we are going to start seeing more casualties. I would put money on major characters being killed. I believe it will be a sad ending to the show -- or at least bittersweet. I think it will definitely be a series finale for grown-ups." Emerson, meanwhile, is still trying to make sense of the season 5 finale. (Join the club!) "I killed Jacob... maybe...probably," he hedged. "It isn't like we haven't seen plenty of other people be killed and somehow come back. And what does it mean if I did kill him? Who the hell was he anyway? Obviously, Ben wanted a father. So much of our show is about bad fathers. It is one of our biggest themes. And Jacob disappointed in thos
Another Veronica Mars alum hits Party Down in the season finale, and we have the exclusive first look. Kristen Bell plays Uda Bengt, the uber-serious leader of Valhalla Catering. She's on a mission of catering perfection, and wouldn't mind getting Ron (Ken Marino) fired if he so much as steps one toe out of line. Here's an exclusive sneak peek at the very scary Uda throwing orders at the Party Down crew while they double cater a wedding ceremony, which George Takei happens to be a guest at. Also, watch Ron crumble into drunken oblivion at the thought of losing Super Crackers in the additional clip below. Since Party Down has been renewed for a second season, there may be hope for him yet. Source: E!Online - Party Down: Kristen Bell Plays an Uber Bitch Related Stories: Party Down Renewed for Season 2!
Heroes - Claire Bennet Heroes, as one could imagine from the show title, is packed with superpowered butt-kicking babes! My favorite is the late Elle, but I'd say Claire wins as the top butt-kicker of these hero babes due to the fact that she's really stepped it up from her early clueless cheerleading days to truly becoming one of the front-runners fighting back against the new company. Plus, she has not only given us the ultimate girl fight with Elle, but she's also taken on Sylar and other bad guys (and gals) with barely a flinch. Chuck - Sarah Walker One of the greatest part of our favorite TV butt-kicking babes is that the table is turned on the usual damsel in distress situation and allows women to be the ones defending themselves, and in Sarah's case as well as some other BKB cases, saving those humbled men! Of course, the adorable Chuck Bartowski doesn't need any humbling, but seeing him in awe of Sarah's super rad (CIA) fighting skills makes this powerhouse-almost-scared-of-nothing woman all the better. Sarah can take on a gaggle of goons, bring on the kung fu in her sexy little black dress, or pull out the big guns to shoot an enemy in cold blood any old time... Sarah, you're my hero! (And Chuck's too!) Dollhouse - Echo Dollhouse has brought us an entirely new breed of butt-kicking babe as we've seen the total madness of what the dollhouse training can bring on when needed. In most of Echo's jobs, she doesn't need to bring on the fight, but it's pretty darn awesome when something goes wrong (which it often does) so that she can bring out those serious kicks, punches, and general no-fear fighting skills to not only defend herself, but defend the dollhouse, her handler, or whoever else may be in danger. But the most fascinating feature of this butt-kicking babe's ways? Oh, yes, she's no ordinary controlled badass like most of the dolls. We've seen this pop out now and then already, and I know I certainly can't wait for more full-force Echo awesomeness! Lost - Kate Austen Kate may have come across at first as a sweet curly haired girl ready to be the mysterious love triangle interest, and okay, that's exactly what she became, but we also discovered very quickly that she was not just a point of interest for love but for the law as well! Yes, those handcuffs were hers from the plane crash as she was a hunted international criminal after making numerous mistakes post-blowing up a house to kill her mom's nasty abusive boyfriend. On the island, we saw Kate quickly show she wasn't going to hide her badass ways as she insisted many a time on joining the boys or even starting up her own band of gun-carrying survivor defenders. Veronica Mars - Veronica Mars Veronica didn't do as much physical butt-kicking as some of these ladies, but she had her fair share, and kicks so much butt with her brain power combined with her surprising braun that she is definitely in our top favs! In a typical Veronica day, she's tracked down a cheating husband, gotten in a fist fight with her ex-boyfriend's dad, taken a math test, and tracked down another rapist, only to find herself in another pretty serious tussle... go VMars, go! This little lady is such a snarky source of girl power that she's made it onto this list twice with her Heroes Elle mention as well, so our hats off to Kristen Bell in her many rockin' sock'em girlpower forms! Continue to Part 2
One Tree Hill - The concept of music is a pretty large component of OTH - Peyton's record label, Haley's music career and the incorporation of actual singers and groups into the show's plot (from Fallout Boy to "Mia") - so it's no wonder that the series has a knack for picking out some fantastic music. One Tree Hill has some excellent music supervisors - choosing music that is not so mainstream that you'll groan at hearing the same song on yet another series, but mainstream enough that the show's young audience will embrace it. OTH has also used real life bands in a creative way - once incorporating a "Benefit Concert" into an episode, only to sell an actual benefit CD , with some of the proceeds going to charity. Some bands used in the series that I'm fond of: Nada Surf, Jack's Mannequin, The Weepies, Citizen Cope and of course, Gavin DeGraw (back when they still played the theme song). Supernatural - Seriously, would some of the things that the Winchester brothers do seem nearly as badass were it not for the sounds of AC/DC, Kansas, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bon Jovi, REO Speedwagon et al that fill the background? If I ever find myself fighting against forces from Hell, I can only hope that my fights will be set to the same awesome backdrop of classic rock. I would argue that no other show is as faithful to such a specific genre of music as Supernatural , but it's a perfect match. I don't want to know what the music licensing fees are for this one... Veronica Mars - From the moment that I first heard usage of the Dandy Warhols' "We Used to Be Friends" as the Veronica Mars theme song (which perfectly described Veronica's outcast status in Neptune), I knew that I would approve of the show's music. Much like the character of Veronica and the series as a whole, musical selections tended to be slightly offbeat and slightly alternative. Awesome bands used in the series: Spoon, Tegan and Sara, Stereophonics, Interpol, Old 97's, The Hives, Starsailor and Sparklehorse. Scrubs - Scrubs probably has the best soundtrack that I've ever heard on a TV comedy. In fact, I'd say that it's the apt musical selections that often contribute to defining both the show's most comedic moments and its most serious ones. The Fray's "How to Save a Life" played at the end of the episode where Doctor Cox lost 3 patients in a single day and decided to quit medicine. It was one of the most powerful episodes of the series and I credit usage of the song for helping to set the tone. Of course, lets also not forget some of the show's lighter musical moments, including Turk's Air Guitaring to Boston and the a capella sounds of Ted's Band. Grey's Anatomy - You might argue that no show so much as Grey's has had the ability to catapult a previously lesser-known group into musical superstardom. "The Fray" and "Snow Patrol" were once upon a time not household band names, and it was before their songs appeared in key scenes of key episodes of Grey's. In fact, "Chasing Cars" from Snow Patrol has become so closely associated with Izzie bawling over a Dead Denny that I can no longer separate the song from that scene in my head. Love or hate how Grey's can pluck an unknown musical gem from obscurity and make them the next big sensation, there's no denying that the show knows where to find great music. What shows have the most notable music for you?
Bad news for the Veronica Mars movie hopefuls. The current word is that "it's not looking good". From the show's creator Rob Thomas: "I think honestly if we would have had the pitch ready a year earlier, it would be a 'go project. The hope that we would get a quick green light didn't materialize. This is the least optimistic I've felt in a while." Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, guys... Source: EW
It is really really hard to launch a successful 30 minute comedy, and Starz may have just managed to do it with their new series, Party Down . Party Down is about a group of struggling dreamers who are stuck working for tips while waiting for their big break. As employees of the L.A. catering company Party Down, these misfits mingle with guests at everything from sweet sixteen parties to the most lavish Hollywood soirees. The show stars Jane Lynch, Lizzy Caplan ( True Blood , Cloverfield), Ken Marino (The State), Adam Scott, Ryan Hansen ( Veronica Mars ) and Martin Starr (Freaks and Geeks). It comes from the creator of Veronica Mars, Rob Thomas, and will even feature a guest appearance by Kristen Bell herself later in the season. The pilot is now available for early viewing on both starz.com and YouTube Watch and let us know if you like it!
