I thought it was interesting to have a show where half of the conversation is in Swedish but the plot is too simple and boring

The main character is a stereotypical "ugly American" who moves to Sweden to be with his girlfriend. He does little to learn the language or culture. All the other characters are loveable and fun. The celebrity guest appearances, something that is often used to cover lazy writing in TV, are funny and well done. Especially Björn Ulvaeus.

As a Canadian living in Sweden, I can relate to the hilarious weirdness that goes on here. From phrases lost in translation to some truly bizarre customs and celebrations (i.e witch burning day). This series has a lot more to explore and needs a bit of tweaking here and there. The on-screen chemistry between husband and wife is lacking to say the least, and it could be what kills this show. I think what the Poeler duo needs to decide is whether this show is for Americans, or Swedes. This teetering in the middle business is leaving both audiences curious but indifferent.

I do not know any people from Sweden to confirm if this is how they actually are. But being an Indian, I know how stereotypes are cast, I can only imagine that's what the show is about. Although funny at times, there are many other shows easily better than this one. I still enjoyed it, but maybe would not have followed it if I knew this was all to it.

Why do decent comedies always get cancelled? Welcome to Sweden is still worth the watch. It's a quiet little show, but has real heart, and is laugh-out-loud funny for those who find humor in real life situations and human foibles rather than outlandish scenarios and slapstick.

Very cute show! I thought it'd be a lot funnier than it is, but even though I don't always find the jokes funny, I enjoy the basic story.

When I heard about this show I had high hopes. The show, however, had no humor; I couldn't even make it through one episode.

OMG this is like watching a male Amy Poehler, yes I know they are siblings but they look more like twins! They even have the same facial expressions. Anyhoo, worth watching
