"Never Get Too Close to the Sun" - Versailles, 1667. Louis XIV was 28-years-old when he began to transform Versailles as a trap to keep the nobles of Paris under his control, and gradually make the castle a gilded prison.
Louis grows increasingly concerned whether he was right in sending the frail Henriette to Dover to meet his brother, King Charles II, whether she will succeed to fulfill the mission he has entrusted to him, and above all, whether she will return safe and sound. Louis has been assured full support by the Swedish king; it is now essential that he has English support.
Extremely confusing. They never tell you how much time is passing or what year it is so you are left guessing and a lot of things are left unexplained. For example, one episode a woman is pregnant and the next one her belly is gone yet she is never shown giving birth and her child is never mentioned. However the plot is interesting enough for me to continue watching it.
