Wilfred is a half-hour, live-action comedy about Ryan, a young man struggling to make his way in the world until he forms a unique friendship with Wilfred, his neighbor's canine pet. Everyone else sees Wilfred as just a dog, but Ryan sees a crude and somewhat surly, yet irrepressibly brave and honest Australian bloke in a cheap dog suit. While leading him through a series of comedic and existential adventures, Wilfred the dog shows Ryan the man how to overcome his fears and joyfully embrace the unpredictability and insanity of the world around him.

Interesting and unusual. All in all a really well written show. It's a tragic comedy that really does a good job of capturing the perspective of someone who is mentally unhinged . Excellent acting across the board. The "feel" of this show can turn a lot of people off but it's well worth watching.

LOVE THIS SHOW. Watched up to the current episode (S04e08) in 3 days and love the show. They better not cancel it any time soon. Fantastic if you enjoy stoner comedies. While I am british and kind of find it offensive that America has to remake everything British thats good so they can pretend America is awesome and comes up with everything good, I never actually saw the British version and don't think I would enjoy the show without... While I am british and kind of find it offensive that America has to remake everything British thats good so they can pretend America is awesome and comes up with everything good, I never actually saw the British version and don't think I would enjoy the show without Elijah Wood. Can't say I overly enoyed his other roles, but he fits this one perfecty. Great show. I hope it continues for another couple of seasons, even if they finish the storyline, just air episode of them getting high and arguing.

Wilfred is a comedy sitcom riddled with mystery and drama. It's about one man who thinks he is going insane and trying to find himself. Is he insane? Is the dog real? Who am I? I recommend this show to the mystery comedy buff.

I usually don't write bad reviews but this show was disappointing. It was a bad concept and the show just had a crappy feel to it.

I love this bizarre show, it's definitely not for everyone though, it's a strange type of humor. So far i'v loved it (spoiler kind of: i really wish there was more story with his relationship with jenna because they built it up but didn't come through, but i guess that's keeping it a little realistic i guess, (but i mean there is a man in a dog suit soooo))
