How can anyone not love a list with Veronica Mars! Also, amazing job including Gemma. Katey Sagal was savage in SoA!

I tend to like "geeky" in strong female roles, so no surprise I would list Root (Person of Interest) around the top of "badass" TV women. However, near the top of the list would be Helena (Orphan Black).

From your list, I would only pick Elizabeth Jennings (The Americans). Also, as much as I love Thandie Newton's portrayal of Maeve (Westworld), I have to rate Dolores higher (because: [!spoilers!]). And though I never watched Xena, I would have to include Lucy Lawless's characters Ruby (Ash vs. Evil Dead) and Countess Marburg (Salem s2). Most of the others listed I haven't watched their shows, so that probably explains that.

At least you got it right and put Buffy at number 1.

My feelings about who's on this list and who's not are mainly that 15 is too short for TV's awesome female characters...

Yes, Toya! I have to admit I feel kinda dumb for not listing some from your list. How could I (or anyone) forget Clarke and Octavia and probably Raven (The 100)? And Cookie (Empire). And Smurf (Animal Kingdom). And maybe even the best kind of "badass"ness in Annalise Keating (How To Get Away With Murder) and Elizabeth McCord (Madam Secretary). It's really a blessing to have so many "badass" women characters to choose from, and that's not even including the many more that I wouldn't consider "badass" but great and very strong characters.)

P.S. I thought about mentioning Arya and Daenerys, my two favorites from the first Game of Thrones books, but I stopped reading after I stopped watching the show on HBO after season 1.

Seriously, and how is no one from Grey's Anatomy on this list. Bailey should make every list like this, as well as, Christina Yang.
