Ash vs. Evil Dead Recap: So Far, So Groovy

Leather, PULL! Latch, CLASP! Binds, STRETCH! Ash, FLINCH! This is gonna hurt.   From the first moment of Ash vs. Evil Dead were in pure homage and I am ON BOARD. For many of the people who are going to be following this show, weve been waiting years decades! for another dip into Sam Raimis Necronomiconiverse. And now that its finally here in the form of a wacky, gory, Bruce Campbell-starring premium cable television show, the possibility feels electric. Ash vs Evil Dead Season 1 Episode 1 Review: El Jefe

Groovy! Simply put, Ash vs Evil Dead Season 1 Episode 1 is a lot of fun. Bruce Campbell is very comfortable and commanding as Ash, the iconic role he created in 1981 with Evil Dead and played in two follow-up films, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. While he could quite easily do it all on his own, stealing the show outright, this time his supporting cast will be given a chance to do some of the heavy lifting. In the premiere, Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) mostly get caught up in the action enjoying the transformation of Ash from dorky coworker to kickassDeadite killer, but they hold their own under the circumstances!   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/10/ash-vs-evil-dead-season-1-episode-1-review-el-jefe/

Ash vs Evil Dead Review: Sam Raimi Revival Is Gory Fun for Hardcore Fans

Decapitated heads, spewing blood, deadpan quips: Its nice having Ash Williams back. Ash vs Evil Dead, the first television iteration of the Evil Dead franchise that began with 1981s big-screen The Evil Dead, is a winningly familiar mixture of over-the-top gore and sarcastic humor, all of it anchored by Bruce Campbells reliably meta-ironic performance as the titular antihero. Two episodes in, this Starz series focuses on delivering tried-and-true pleasures to hardcore fans, and as such will probably only appeal to those who are already cued in to the films gonzo B-movie aesthetic. But then again, The Evil Dead has always been a proud cult item.   Read More... //www.thewrap.com/ash-vs-evil-dead-review-sam-raimi-revival-is-gory-fun-for-hardcore-fans/

Ash vs. Evil Dead Review: Schlock, But Not Enough Awe, in Starz' Revival

Its telling that the best scene in Ash vs. Evil Dead Starz continuation of writer-director Sam Raimis campsterpiece horror franchise finds Bruce Campbells titular hero facing off against a possessed doll. The demonic little princess goes straight for his nostrils, chips one of his veneers, bites down on his thumb with her razor-like teeth, all [] //tvline.com/2015/10/30/ash-vs-evil-dead-review-bruce-campbell-starz/
