Empire Recap 12/6/17 Season 4 Episode 8 “Cupid Painted Blind”

Thirsty informs Jamal, Cookie, and Lucious that Jamal has a warrant out for his arrest after he attacked Warren. Thirsty leaves while Andre and Hakeem arrive. Cookie offers to find Jamal something to eat. Jamal tells them all he knows what is going on. They think he has fallen off the wagon. He hasn’t. Cookie tells them that they are all there for Andre. He needs to be ready because he has to be next on Diana’s list. Angelo is sitting with Warren, who is resting after being beaten up by Jamal. Angelo reminds him that he warned him about falling in love with a Lyon. Andre tells the family that he isn’t next. Diana cannot get at him. There are no connections. Empire Season 4 Episode 8 Review: Cupid Painted Blind

Andre Lyon is in a delicate state and needs all the help he can get. That became clear on Empire Season 4 Episode 8 when the oldest Lyon brother continued to spiral in the wake of Diana Dubois having his medication messed with. If you watch Empire online , you will already know that Andre has had his fair share of struggles in the past, so it was evident he was not going to get out of his part in the bombing of Lucious' car easily. Pamela was a beacon of hope for him. Empire Recap 11/29/17 Season 4 Episode 7 “The Lady Doth Protest”

Lucious and Jamal are experimenting with music and paints in the studio. Lucious begins playing the piano. Jamal smiles wide – his father is back. Hakeem watches Anika, Angelo, and Bella from the bushes in the park. A stranger compliments Anika and Angelo on their daughter’s eyes. Hakeem loses it and starts to walk towards them. Thirsty comes out of nowhere and tells him to stay away. Eddy, Becky, Porsha, and the others oversee Tory in the studio. They all begin to disagree on the sound. Becky points out that they are all just tired. Anika answers her door. It’s Lucious. He has come to talk to her. She tries to shut the door but he holds it. She lets him in. Lucious tells her that if she agrees to joint custody he will make Bella an heir to Empire along with the boys. Porsha comes in to see Cookie. She wants her to address the turmoil with the engineers. They are thinking about going on strike. Lucious comes in. Cookie dismisses Porsha. Lucious adds his thoughts. Cookie reminds him that she is running the show. Empire Season 4 Episode 7 Review: The Lady Doth Protest

The Lyons are finally ready for war, and I could not be more excited about it. The family found out the truth about Warren on Empire Season 4 Episode 7 , and it proved to them that Diana Dubois has been trying to take them down all along. Warren is the only one from the Dubois family I would like to stick around. While the others are very much deeply rooted in their revenge plan, he has shown signs of light, and that's why Jamal's family started to like him. The whole threesome thing was predictable. Empire Recap 11/15/17 Season 4 Episode 6 “Fortune Be Not Crost”

Andre tells his therapist that he can’t stop thinking about Pamela. Getting involved with her is a bad idea given she is in law enforcement and his family doesn’t get along with the police well. Meanwhile, Hakeem and the family arrive at court to fight Anika for full custody. Cameras flash while reporters try to get them to talk. During opening arguments, Angelo tells the court that Anika can offer Bella a stable home while Hakeem is a rap star who will only bring danger to his daughter. Murmurs break out throughout the court. Hakeem and Anika both take the stand, pointing out each other’s shortcomings as parents. Cookie is beside herself. The judge tells her to keep it together or she will have to leave. Tiana takes the stand. Angelo attacks her, asking her about threesomes and drugs Hakeem use together. The judge demands he stop. He keeps going. The court is dismissed. Outside, Hakeem gets mad at Tiana. How could she become weak on the stand and let him down? She didn’t even fight. He could lose Bella. Empire Season 4 Episode 6 Review: Fortune Be Not Crost

Hakeem should have known better. On Empire Season 4 Episode 6 , we finally got to witness the big custody battle with Anika play out, and it was actually pretty exciting. Let's just say I did not expect the case to carry the bulk of the hour. The case was always going to hit home for everyone. Empire Recap 11/8/17 Season 4 Episode 5 “The Fool”

Cookie, Hakeem, and Tiana speak to Thirsty about Anika demanding custody of Bella. Cookie gets a call. She turns on TMZ. There are reports of Lucious and his memory loss. Meanwhile, Claudia and Lucious are talking. Claudia tells him that she has overstepped the lines. He is her patient. She has been inappropriate. Cookie arrives. She needs Lucious at Empire pronto. They arrive at Empire for a conference. At the start of the meeting, Lucious tells everyone that he doesn’t need to answer questions about his health. Cookie offers to have the press follow him for 24 hours on the heels of a new album dropping. Would that make everyone feel better, she asks. They all agree. Empire Recap 10/18/17 Season 4 Episode 4 “Bleeding War”

Cookie and Lucious are sitting down talking about Cookie’s prison days. He wants to know everything. Cookie tells him about a fight she had with a woman named Poundcake. She recalls a time when Lucious came to visit and saw her injuries. He was mad. As they continue to talk, Lucious remembers bringing Jamal to see her in prison. He sent Jamal in and didn’t go in himself. That was the last time he saw her in prison. Lucious is ashamed. He is upset that he wasn’t a better man. He wants to be a better man. Claudia arrives. She comes into the room and asks Lucious what she missed. Cookie’s face falls. Lucious, Cookie, and Claudia show up at Empire. Everyone is excited. Lucious will watch Hakeem perform and then he is headed home. They all sit down in the studio. Hakeem performs. When he finishes, Cookie tells him to go eat. Cookie, Becky, Andre, and Lucious discuss the performance. Cookie isn’t happy. It isn’t alpha material. They need to figure out a game plan. Becky tells Lucious that she knows he will come up with something he always does. She recalls the time he saved the day when Diddy left them hanging. Andre cuts her off. 'Empire' Recap: The Lyon Formerly Known as Lucious

On this episode of Empire, titled "Bleeding War," Cookie puts the pressure on all of the label's artists to come up with the "20 for 20" launch album, Lucious tries to take an interest in work, Diana learns about Lucious' brain injury and the family celebrates Bella's first birthday. Cookie shares with Lucious tales from her prison days. Cookie was especially tight with a woman named Chyna and other inmates from Philly. Her crew got along with everyone but the white chicks or the "wild-ass Jamaicans." Chyna had a particular beef with the D.C. girls who had nicknames like Poundcake and Butterball. Cookie recalls getting into a fight with Poundcake who cut her with a razor. Cookie tells Lucious that this wasn't her first fight or her last, but there were things in prison that cut her deeper than that razor. READ MORE...
