When Erina, known as God's Tongue, is announced as the examiner, all applicants except Soma withdraw from the exam. For his examination, Soma is ordered to cook an egg dish to satisfy her highly selective palette. Soma cooks a dish from his secret menu called the Transforming Furikake Gohan. Despite being very impressed with his dish, she fails him as she doesn't like his cocky attitude and feels that her pride would be threatened if she allowed a person of his social standing to be admitted. Later in the day, her grandfather tastes his dish and overturns her decision to deny admission.
