‘Gingitsune’ Anime Begins Hulu Digital Distribution

After Sentai Filmworks acquired the rights to Gingitsune last fall, they’re now exercising their streaming side of it a bit with the series now available in full on Hulu. With the series set to arrive on home video soon, it’s the perfect opportunity to check out the show and see if it’s up your alley so you can add it to your permanent collection. Sentai Filmworks Acquires ‘Gingitsune’ Anime

One of the fall 2013 anime series that hadn’t found a home outside of streaming has now done so as Gingitsune has been acquired by Sentai Filmworks. The company has picked up the twelve episode series based on the ongoing manga by Sayori Ochiai that runs in Ultra Jump in Japan. The series is directed by Shin Misawa (Capeta, Initial D) with series composition by Hiroshi Yamaguchi (Desert Punk, Nobunagun), music by Tatsuya Katou (Celestial Method, Medaka Box), and animation production by Diomedea (Campione!, Kantai Collection -Kan Colle-). Pony Canyon Sets Japanese ‘Gingitsune’ Anime DVD/BD Release Schedule

Pony Canyon is gearing up for another of the fall seasons that they have home video distribution rights for with Gingitsune. The new fall series, which is slated to run twelve episodes, will begin its separate DVD and Blu-ray releases on December 25th. The six Blu-ray releases are priced at 7140yen each while the DVD releases are priced at 5250yen each. The first press editions at the moment are mostly related to a ticket to an event, but it does appear that there’s a mini wooden plque included and a drama CD as well as some calendar cards for Januayr and February 2014, which will be expanded as each volume comes out with new months. TV Tokyo Adds New ‘Gingitsune’ Anime Spot

With the broadcast debut of the esries Gingitsune this weekend, TV Tokyo has brought out a new thirty-second spot to help promote it. The series comes from the manga of the same name that began back in 2008 from Sayori Ochiai which has accumulated eight volumes in Japan so far in Ultra Jump. The anime adaptation is being handled by Diomedea with Pony Canyon distributing it for the fall season which will air on AT-X and TV Tokyo so far. Crunchyroll Adds ‘Gingitsune’ For Fall 2013 Anime Lineup

Crunchyroll has added a second new simulcast announcement today with the pickup of Gingitsune: Messenger Fox of the Gods, which is now set to premiere on Sunday, October 6th, at 1:05pm ET.
