Allison Williams Promises 'Lighthearted' Season 3 For 'Girls'

Things got kind of dark during the second season of " Girls ," but star Allison Williams promises that’s all going to change next season. "I think it’s a very funny season. I think it’s pretty lighthearted, but also it’s just the third year in a row you get to see these girls, so I think people have gotten to know us pretty well by now and so you get to see different dimensions of all of us,” she explained to MTV News on the red carpet at the VMAs , where she looked quite fierce in her white dress. Among the shakeups next season: Allison’s Marnie will have to say goodbye for good to her on-screen love, Charlie, now that Christopher Abbott is no longer on the show. And she promises that that break-up will lead to some good TV. Read More... //hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2013/08/27/girls-season-3-allison-williams/

'Girls' Season 3 teaser: First look at Lena Dunham and company, as told through Instagram photos

If HBO's "Girls" wasn't already considered the most hipster-centric show on television, this first teaser video for Season 3 ought to clinch the title. For the first look at the season, returning in early 2014, Lena Dunham's decided to give us a video comprised entirely of Instagram photos. It plays like a summer vacation slide show like your great aunt used to show, only it's totally hip and cool because it's set to the beat of Robert ToTeras' "Break Out The Boom Boom."While it's absent of any actual plot details, at least we know that the gang will hit the beach this season, Jemima Kirke's Jessa is back after abandoning Hannah near the end of Season 2, and Elijah's back in the picture now that Andrew Rannells doesn't have an NBC comedy anymore.Check out the teaser above and let us know if you're ready to return to Brooklyn with "Girls" in 2014.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/08/girls-season-3-teaser-first-look-at-lena-dunham-and-company-as-told-through-instagram-photos.html

'Girls' Star Zosia Mamet's Much-Mocked Kickstarter Flops at $2,783

We all love Shoshanna on Girls, but it seems as if the general population doesn't really care for Zosia Mamet and her sister Clara's hipster folk dreams. The girls, who call themselves The Cabin Sisters, set out to raise $32,000 on Kickstarter to fund a music video for their obscure band. The funding period ended today and raised a total of $2,783 from 80 backers — less than 10 percent of their goal. That means with Kickstarter's all-or-nothing premise, they get nothing. Why 'Girls' Didn't Have A Happy Ending

The second season of "Girls" concluded with a happy ending on Sunday night, minus the happy ending. Which may be what threw some people off immediately following "Together," an episode that is being called "out of character for the show" or "a let down" by some fans and critics. To wit, the show's key couples -- Hannah and Adam and Marnie and Charlie -- got back together, complete with a triumphant piece of rom-com scoring from Michael Penn. Adam actually ran to Hannah's rescue , the type of swooping, swoony gesture you might see in a movie starring Ryan Reynolds.
