A classic British "amateur" detective show, Grantchester follows a vicar through post-WWII Cambridgeshire as he helps the local police solve crime. Characters are expectedly quirky and the scenery lovely. There's a significant subplot surrounding a love triangle with a friend above his station and a German widow. I prefer the mysteries but I also enjoy the stories that humanize Chambers as the balance has managed to stay on the side of crime-solving, not soap opera.

I'm looking forward to more, which we can apparently expect in 2016, sometime.
