Grey’s Anatomy Recap 11/16/17: Season 14 Episode 8 “Out of Nowhere”

The latest interns were causing all sorts of problems. There had been a young woman that DeLuca had once been involved with and two had at first said they were going to stay out of each other’s way yet they soon fell back into old patterns and began hooking up. But no matter what they did or who they did before they got to the hospital, they were all treated fairly because Jo was now the Chief Resident. She had been scared of taking the job and had realized in the end that she could just do her best like Bailey once. But that meant Jo was coming down hard on the interns. She didn’t want them sucking up to the attendees or embarrassing her. So she tried to put the right intern with the right doctor, but Meredith had unfortunately decided to choose an intern for herself. She had chosen Schmidt to follow her because he had been one of the few people that hadn’t harped on and on about her winning the Harper Avery Award. And so that’s why she chose the one intern that had dropped his glasses on someone during surgery. READ MORE...

Grey’s Anatomy Review: Jo’s Worst Nightmare Comes True

There’s been enough pain and tears on Grey’s Anatomy. It’s time to get back to the fun. There is a different vibe in the hospital. The interns are bright and bushy-tailed (because their souls haven’t been crushed yet), and the Attendings see only possibilities ahead. Everyone is saying "Yes!" to life. That’s all well and good, until something or someone comes along and slams you into the wall. Inspired by true events, the midseason finale of Grey’s finds the doctors struggling not to panic when their computer system is taken over by hackers. Everyone is afraid of the little geeks who hide their terrorism behind a computer screen, as if their actions don’t endanger human lives just because they can’t be seen. That’s exactly what happens. The faces that you don’t see, and even the one that you do, can blindside you and endanger people’s lives. No one knows this more than Jo. By the end of the hour she is caught between her old life and her new one, and she didn’t see either one of them having the power to hurt her. READ MORE...

Grey's Anatomy Season 14 Episode 8 Review: Out of Nowhere

I have nothing, you guys. But since there can't be a blank review, I'll give it all I have. Grey's Anatomy Season 14 Episode 8 was just underwhelming. It's the midseason finale and there was nothing gripping about it. Even the cliffhanger of Paul returning was boring. We knew this going in though, right? Expectations for this installment were pretty low because the "cyber attack on a hospital" angle has been worn out already. As a result, the hour wasn't disappointing because the bar was very low; it was just boring.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/11/greys-anatomy-season-14-episode-8-review-out-of-nowhere/

Grey's Anatomy Fall Finale Recap: Yes, They Tried Turning It Off and Back On

Call it a life-and-death hack. In Greys Anatomys fall finale Thursday, the hospitals computer system was hijacked, resulting in problems far bigger than I.T. could solve. How did Bailey manage to keep Grey Sloan running when her team couldnt so much as get an X-ray taken? Did she keep it running? And what ended up [] http://tvline.com/2017/11/16/greys-anatomy-season-14-episode-8-recap-jo-paul-matthew-morrison/

Grey’s Anatomy Review: The Shocks, Awes, and Greatest Nostalgic Moments of the 300th

300 episodes in, this show has come full circle. It really is like the Grey’s Anatomy of old. Look for proof no further than the sleep-deprived, can’t-remember-the-last-time-they-had-a-shower interns. Like the interns who came before them, they live for the exhaustion and the traumas. A roller coaster accident is a dream come true for them, like it was for those who came before. For fans who have watched since the beginning, there were so many callbacks, so many small moments to latch onto. How could you not do a double-take at injured "George and Cristina", with a pregnant "Izzie" stand-in trying to mediate the bickering? We didn’t even realize we missed the original theme song until it began playing. Every single detail of Grey’s Anatomy’s 300th episode was meticulous, and a perfect tribute. Maybe it’s because she’s on the verge of winning a Harper Avery, or that she has to take a private plane to get to the award’s ceremony (which worked out so well the last time), but Meredith sees the past everywhere in this episode. The crazy thing is, she’s not the only one who sees it. With mini-resident versions of George, Cristina, and Izzie on the operating tables, Meredith, Alex, Bailey, and Webber put all of their attention on these patients. Alex even stays with pregnant "Izzie", which is about as close of a reunion as we’re going to get with the exes. Alex takes care of the mini version of his ex, but he doesn’t want to get back in touch with the real thing. Even if real life complications weren’t a factor, Alex makes a fair point about reconnecting with people from your past. If you’re in a good place in your life, there is no need to know for certain. Alex can simply imagine that his Izzie is happy, as he is now. READ MORE...

Grey’s Anatomy Recap 11/9/17: Season 14 Episode 7 “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story”

Meredith had been upset when she heard she had been nominated for a Harper Avery Award because she had lost a patient that same night. But she soon came around to the idea. Meredith had just needed some time to grieve and then she actually became excited about being nominated. It was a prestigious award in the medical community and it meant a lot to even be nominated however Alex knew Meredith had this one and so he didn’t understand why she wasn’t going to go to the awards. Alex had talked to Meredith about it and she hadn’t wanted to risk flying. But Alex thought she shouldn’t let her fear of flying stop her from going to the Harper Avery Awards. He reminded her that not that long ago they had been hiding in the tunnels and dreaming of the day one of them went on to win an award of their own. So Alex wanted her to go and he tried everything to get her on her flight yet Meredith found one excuse after another of why she didn’t have to go and the latest reason had been an accident at the theme park.
