Wendy and Jerry Goudchaux are textile merchants who still live in the home where they raised their children. Now that their kids have moved out, they are ready to leave their empty nest and find a new home for the next stage in their life. They looked at homes in L.A., but were discouraged by the escalating prices and ultimately decided on Las Vegas, because of its lower cost of living.
