‘Kuroko’s Basketball’ Second Season Anime Promo Debuts

The second season of Kuroko’s Basketball gets ever closer and the throngs of screaming fans can even be heard in the new promotional video below for it. Planned for an October release, the second season brings us back to the game that began back in 2012 with the first season of the sports series and they’re noting that this is the "second quarter" series rather than calling it a second season, which does work well thematically. ‘Kuroko’s Basketball’ Anime Getting Second Season

After running for two seasons earlier this year, it’s been revealed in the latest Shonen Jump Next that Kuroko’s Basketball will be returning for another season some time in 2013. The series brought a fairly straightforward and heavy basketball focused series with little on the personal lives of the characters and spent multiple episodes per high profile game in order to show off the mechanics of the game and the skills of the players. No details about the production have been revealed and if the same animation team will be returning for more of it, which is quite as firm as one might think considering that serious level of death threats placed against seemingly everyone involved in the manga, series and even doujinshi over the past year in Japan.
