In Legnica, Sasha tells Elen that Vanadis Elizaveta Fomina is using an incident during their joint campaign against pirates as an excuse to invade. She also notes that her Draconic Tools, twin daggers named Bargen, refuse to leave her despite her poor health. In Muozinel, Mila and Tigre negotiate terms for her assistance. When Tigre is informed that the girl he saved earlier refuses to eat, he convinces her to eat by sharing her food. Back in Legnica, the combined armies of Leitmeritz and Legnica face those of Lebus, led by Liz. Elen battles and overpowers Liza, who calls off the fight. While Elen wishes to continue fighting, Liza tells her that Dukes Ganelon and Thenardier are ready to move and that Tigre is facing the invasion from Muozinel, so Elen accepts the terms of the ceasefire and hurries to rejoin Tigre. Meanwhile, Mila proposes a plan to defeat the Muozinel army in one battle, but the opposing army is led by Kreshu Shaheen Baramir, the younger brother of the king of Muozinel, who defeated a fleet from Sachstein five times the size of his own. Kreshu presses his attack disregarding the presence of Zhcted forces as Tigre and Mila prepare for the Battle of Ormea.
