Lucifer: God Narrates Deckerstar Fairy Tale. Will Things Be Different?

If we have different choices, different circumstances, would we still be the same person on the inside? In this second part of the Lucifer double-feature, the Devil gets the freedom of choice. The choice to make whatever decisions he wants without Daddy Dearest getting in the way. So what if he and Detective Decker never met the way that God intended? Would Deckerstar still rise or will they brush past each other like ships in the night? The great Neil Gaiman serves as the voice of God in this fairytale-like narrative. I had figured they would bring back Timothy Omundson as God, but I suppose the creator of the Lucifer comics is the better choice. It would also be awesome if they were to get Morgan Freeman, but the man is busy enough as it is with filming commercials for Visa and Mountain Dew, recording announcements for TransLink (has that happened yet?) and producing Madam Secretary. Lucifer: Ella Sees Dead People. Azrael Makes Appearance.

I never expected to see the Devil again. Devastation hit me like a ton of bricks after FOX cancelled the show. I hoped that another network or streaming service would rescue it. So when I heard that there are two standalone episodes of Lucifer airing tonight, it took everything in me to prevent myself from screaming with joy. The first part of tonight’s double-feature centers on our favorite forensic technician, Ella Lopez. A friend from the spirit world shows up at the crime scene, leading Ms. Lopez to question her very sanity. The interaction between Ella and Ray-Ray (guest star Charlyne Yi) was intriguing to watch. It’s as if one is talking to their imaginary friend from their childhood. Imagine my surprise when I realized that Ray-Ray is none other than Azrael, the Angel of Death. It should have been evident from the beginning, but I guess I was too busy rolling my eyes at Lucifer’s shenanigans. READ MORE...

Lucifer Recap 5/28/18: Season 3 Episode 21 and 22 “Boo Normal – Once Upon a Time”

Ella wasn’t her usual self at work on tonight’s all new episode of "Lucifer". She was distracted and had even snapped at Lucifer when he borrowed her camera to take pictures of his junk. Lucifer had actually been so concerned about this change in her behavior that he asked what was wrong and she admitted that there was a problem with her family. Her brother who she moved to LA to be with had suddenly decided that he wanted to go back home to Detroit. With her brother moving back home, the rest of Ella’s family wanted her to move back as well. Ella was being pressured into keeping the family together and so she didn’t think she had a choice. She thought she had to move back home and there was nothing her friends could say that would convince her differently. READ MORE...

Lucifer Bonus Episodes Review: It's a Wonderful Life

After the series' cancellation, Fox decided to air the two remaining standalone episodes that were to be a part of Season 4 if it were to be. It was not. As it was, having two episodes without a "point" in the narrative might actually help the series for once instead of working against the flow of an ordinary season. No, I'm not a fan of episodes that are shoved into the middle of an otherwise serialized narrative, pulling regular viewers out of what can be a riveting plot.   ...Read More... https://www.tvfanatic.com/2018/05/lucifer-bonus-episodes-review-its-a-wonderful-life/

Lucifer Recap: In the Arms of an Angel

Lucifer this week chased after the old normal only to realize it better to take things in a new direction. That led to a joyous moment that, TV being TV, was offset by a tragic twist.
