Gary and George revealed that the contestants would be taking part in a MasterChef first: a tag-team Challenge. The first member of each team had 25 minutes in the kitchen with the recipes for six dishes - game pie, brussel sprouts, potato gratin, rib roast, devil’s food cake and red velvet cupcakes. The recipes were then taken away, and each subsequent contestant had 60 seconds to be brought up to speed and 20 minutes cooking time. Once the dishes were prepared, the amateur chefs were surprised to learn that the recipes belonged to none other than Nigella Lawson, who would be judging them. Adam’s Blue Team took the win, and the reward of lunch at the legendary Tetsuya’s restaurant.
