This Week's Summer Premieres Include Jersey Shore, Project Runway, & More!

This week in premieres, we have the much-anticipated season 2 of Jersey Shore , which, as you probably know, doesn't even take place on the Jersey Shore this time around. Fox Announces Summer Slate: Hell's Kitchen, MasterChef on Tuesdays

Fox will team up Hell's Kitchen with the new series MasterChef on Tuesday nights this summer. Season 7 of Kitchen, the reality cooking series hosted by Gordon Ramsay, will debut Tuesday, June 1 (8/7c), and will run for two hours weekly until the premiere of MasterChef on Tuesday, July 27 (9/8c). As previously announced, So You Think You Can Dance will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays, following its season premiere Thursday, May 27 (8/7c). Dance will be accompanied by encores of Glee on Thursday nights. In scripted series news, The Good Guys, Fox's new action-comedy starring Bradley Whitford and Colin Hanks, will air a preview Wednesday, May 19 (8/7c), then premiere Monday, June 7 (9/8c), following the return of Lie to Me (8/7c). Fox will also burn off episodes of Past Life beginning Friday, May 28 (8/7c). Sunday nights this summer will consist of a mix of repeats and original episodes of 'Til Death, Sons of Tucson, The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show, Family Guy and American Dad. Source Here

Gordon Ramsay Names Judges for New Series MasterChef

Gordon Ramsay has tapped restaurateur-winemaker Joe Bastianich and four-star chef Graham Elliot Bowles for MasterChef . Ramsay's new competition series, which will air on Fox, puts amateur chefs to the test in various challenges as they try to become culinary masters. Ramsay will head up the series, and Bastianich and Bowles will serve as both judges and mentors to the contestants. "I'm hugely excited to have Joe and Graham join me as judges on MasterChef," said Ramsay. "Both bring a phenomenal wealth of expertise and professional experience to the show." Ramsay, who also hosts Fox's Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen, is an executive producer on MasterChef, which premieres July 29. Source Here

'MasterChef' cooking for Fox

From THR: "Foodies, get ready for a culinary American Idol . Fox is expanding its line of Gordon Ramsay reality shows by giving a series order to Reveille's "MasterChef." Ramsay will co-produce and star in the program, in which nonprofessional cooks compete to create perfect dishes. The project is based on a Shine TV format that's popular in the U.K. and Australia. The show joins Ramsay's other titles on Fox -- "Hell's Kitchen" and "Kitchen Nightmares" -- and should keep Fox stocked with the temperamental chef's reality fare nearly year-around. "A huge reality format that works great in other countries plus Gordon Ramsay guarantees success," Fox president of alternative Mike Darnell said. "Gordon is like our 'CSI.' " The "MasterChef" format has aired in several incarnations in the U.K., with the earliest dating to 1990.
