Is it just me or does this show keep getting better and better? Typically the opposite happens to comedies.

A refreshing comedy that deals with the daily life of a mother and daughter dealing with staying sober. Anna Faris and Allison Janney give amazing performances. This heartfelt show pulls at your heart strings at least once an episode.

This show is hilarious, however in recent episodes the plot seems to be failing. I'm worried it's headed down the road of failure.

As the show progresses, added themes of real-life issues such as alcoholism, teen pregnancy, cancer, homelessness, gambling addiction, domestic violence, death, drug addiction, relapse and overdose.

Having grown up with alcoholism on both side of my family tree, there are times I find it difficult to watch this. My therapist had me read a book called "It Will Never Happen to Me" (2nd edition) by Claudia Black. It explains the multi-generational problems caused by addiction. Child molestation, rape, physical and emotional abuse, eating disorders, pathological liars, depression and bi-polar disorders, gambling addiction ... as Oprah once said, "All pain is the same."

But hey, this is a sitcom. Sorry to get all dramatic on you.

I'm finally caught up, and I'm not sure if I watch this show because I'm in need of sitcoms, or if its actually good? Its got funny moments, for sure, its crude and blunt and I like that (chuck lorre), but something is missing. Why does Anna Faris always look mad? Like always.really.mad? I have a bit of a bug with her due to her constant frowning, but the rest of the cast is quite funny.

Love it! Hilarious, emotionally wrecking and it makes psychological disorders like addiction accessible. It doesn't sugarcoat it, it doesn't paint a pretty picture. Reality wrapped in a comedy wrapper. Great little show, hope it lasts for a couple more seasons. Also, how cute is Anna Farris in this.

WOW this is great I can't wait to see where these guys are going to end up. I really hope this goes for many seasons as this has loads of potential. I am a big west wing fan and was so refreshing to see Allison Janney in a new TV show which is a million miles from the other, a great comic and these guys just work so well together their on screen chemistry really comes through in the show!

This show is really funny. The timing between Anna Ferris & Allison Janney is the best. The writing is great. It can be very serious one minute and hilarious the next. I was a little worried that they were getting a little too serious with season 3, episode 2, "Thigh Gap and a Rack of Lamb" but they rebounded with season 3, episode 3, "Mozzarella Sticks and a Gay Piano Bar" I know there are problems in this world. I see it every day. That's why I want to watch television that makes me laugh and "Mom" does that very well.
