NCIS Season 15 Episode 9 Review: Ready or Not

Even as I write this review, I am completely confused as how to make a final rating for NCIS Season 15 Episode 9 . The show's annual Thanksgiving episode was fun... yet completely nonsensical. Frankly, it almost appeared like NCIS somehow crossed into the Twilight Zone where our favorite characters got crossed with the Three Stooges, or maybe Abbott and Costello. So, was the episode good or bad?   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/11/ncis-season-15-episode-9-review-ready-or-not/

NCIS Recap 11/14/17: Season 15 Episode 8 “Voices”

A female jogger was out on her morning run when she heard a voice. The voice sounded as if someone was in distress and so the jogger went to go see if someone had been hurt out in the woods. But the voice had been calling out "help me" couldn’t have come from a living person because it led Amber to a body that had been dumped out there. So Amber tried telling people what happened and they just refused to believe her. They couldn’t make a connection between a dead body and a mysterious voice and Gibbs for one hadn’t wanted to try. NCIS had been handed this case after it was revealed the victim was Victor King. King had been a businessman and he had been a supplier for the Navy, however, he had been up to some shady dealings on the side and had been under investigation when he disappeared several years ago. But while NCIS had Amber to thank for finding the body, Gibbs didn’t put a lot into believing a voice led her to King. So he asked his people to investigate Amber and had her checked out by Jack to see if she needed a psych eval. READ MORE...

NCIS Season 15 Episode 8 Review: Voices

In a rather unusual turn of events, much of the emotional heft and drama of NCIS Season 15 Episode 8 actually rested not on a main cast member, but guest star Laura Regan. Regan portrayed Amber Davis, a woman who initially seemed to be an unfortunate hiker who just happened to find a dead body...until she claimed to be hearing the voice of the dead man.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/11/ncis-season-15-episode-8-review-voices/

NCIS Recap 11/7/17: Season 15 Episode 7 “Burden of Proof”

A prisoner named Gabriel tells a public defender that he was framed by NCIS. Meanwhile, Torres is bragging to the gang that all of his shirts are too small in the arms. Yup, all that time in the gym is paying off. Gibbs arrives at the office. He is pulled in by Vance. They have a visitor, a public defender, Jessica, who wants them to look at Lieutenant O’Connell’ss body. There is something wrong with his autopsy. Donald takes a look. The team goes over the case files. They are extremely disorganized. McGee points out that Gabriel lied about his alibi. The case also lost a major witness. NCIS Season 15 Episode 7 Review: Burden of Proof

Okay, a show of hands: how many suspected from the start that Gabriel Hicks was the murderous psycho Tobias Fornell thought him to be? NCIS Season 15 Episode 7 played coy with the truth to the closing moments, fairly well. For those who figured Hicks to be the real killer all along, the drama came with Gibbs's difficult choice following the interview with Mary Smith, AKA Witness X.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/11/ncis-season-15-episode-7-review-burden-of-proof/

NCIS Recap 10/31/17: Season 15 Episode 6 “Trapped”

Petty Officer Jake Miller was found dead at a golf course. He worked there as a groundskeeper and mostly kept to himself, however, the evidence at the scene indicated that his death wasn’t an accident and that someone purposely tried to hide him underneath the groundskeeper’s truck. But that wasn’t everything! There had also been a large blood stain on Miller’s shirt and it hadn’t been his. So there was a chance the blood was either from a second victim or better yet their culprit. And so NCIS had to find out who the money belonged to as well as why their victim had been targeted. Palmer later found evidence that Miller’s neck had been snapped and not by the machine or by the blooded rake they had found nearby. But Miller had a routine and had made sure he was always on the course by four in the morning. So someone must have studied him and thought it was best to get to Miller before even the dewsweepers. The "dewsweepers" were the early morning golfers and they had been the ones to find to Miller yet the body had been cold by then and Palmer estimated Miller’s time of death to be between four and seven that morning. But Reeves was slowly making friends within the group. He had met Melissa and the two had hit it off from the start, however, Reeves had noticed that Melissa was in a toxic relationship and so he had been happy for her when she recently revealed that she had broken up with this ex. NCIS Season 15 Episode 6 Review: Trapped

It's a truth universally acknowledged that there are good episodes of television and bad episodes of television. But there are also the bland, unmemorable, taupe episodes of television. NCIS Season 15 Episode 6 fell squarely in this category. While this marked an improvement over the cringe-inducing pain of the preceding installment of the series, it won't likely make anyone's top 10 lists.  ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/11/ncis-season-15-episode-6-review-trapped/

NCIS Season 15 Episode 5 Review: Fake It 'Til You Make It

There is so much wrong with NCIS Season 15 Episode 5 , I'm not even sure where to begin. It would be far, far easier to list off the few things about this episode I did like. Seriously, that's how frustrating I found "Fake It 'Til You Make It." Words can barely express how often I found myself rolling my eyes and gritting my teeth in annoyance. First off, I knew -- I knew! -- that Melissa faked her kidnapping. I mean, come on. She shows off her bruises and cozies up to a federal agent (more on that later!), and then just happens to get kidnapped in front of him?   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/10/ncis-season-15-episode-5-review-fake-it-til-you-make-it/

NCIS Recap 10/17/17: Season 15 Episode 4 “Skeleton Crew”

A stranger came knocking on Gibbs’s door. She had gotten caught up in the nasty weather outside and had needed someone’s phone to call for help. But Gibbs hadn’t hesitated in helping Jaqueline Sloane. She was attractive and she sort of got Gibbs’s vibe. So the two had talked for a while and they were enjoying each other’s company when work called. There had been an incident at a masquerade party involving a Marine and so Gibbs had had to report to duty however he allowed Jaqueline to stay after he had gone. Gibbs had decided to trust this person out of the blue because he didn’t think Jaqueline was the type to steal from him and therefore Gibbs had lower some of his guards. He was usually concerned about his privacy and hadn’t shown any of his normal misgivings when he allowed Jaqueline to stay. However, Gibbs had put whatever he was feeling aside to focus on the case. That "incident" at the party had actually been attempted murder. Someone had stabbed Marine First Lt. Ethan Wynn at a Halloween party and he had something to say when he finally came to. READ MORE...
