Ebisu uses the Locution Brush to a drill a vent out of the Underworld. In the forest outside the doorway to the Underworld, Hiyori and Yukine encounter Kugaha, who is impervious to Yukine's attacks due to being a Nora. Thanks to Hiyori's motivation, Yukine is able to draw a borderline stronger than that of Kugaha, who then is blasted back and dropped in the river. Bishamon and Kazuma finds an injured Ebisu on the side of the road, but the vent emerging from the middle of the road dies out, preventing Hiyori and Yukine from entering the Underworld.
