Ash and friends arrive in Nimbasa Town where the Club Battle tournament is taking place. They soon realize they are facing tough competition as they encounter all of their rivals who are also entering the tournament. The first round matches begin with Georgia easily advancing to the second round. The next battle is Ash vs. Burgundy. Surprising to everyone, Ash sends out his Palpitoad, hoping for some beginner's luck in its first battle.
