Good news! As a stickler for continuity, there is some stuff about the show that annoys me, but once you get past that it is really enjoyable and a fresh take on the franchise. Can't wait so see where it goes from here!

So glad they will keep this show going! I am totally excited about each new episode and it is already a favorite to watch each week. Hoping for a long run!

I've heard this will be an anthology show like American Horror Story, so be prepared for the next season to be set in a different time, with different characters. This is great news though. What an amazing show. Let's hope as an anthology series, they can use it to generate interest and ideas for multiple (high quality) spin-offs!

They could've never had anything else on their mind with this show but "renew". Def one of my fav new series this fall. I'm happy to hear it's an anthology series, I really love anthology series (hoping ZaneAppeal heard right). They should've renewed the damn show for 2 more seasons at least though. Ijs, it's Star Trek.

After watching the first few episodes there was no question that this series will have a long history. The quality of production, acting, effects and storyarc are perfectly in keeping with the newer Star Trek movies. I would even go as far as to say that in my humble opinion, G Roddenberry would have given this a big two thumbs up!

Now if we could get it on a free network, then all would be fine and dandy. **winks @ CBS**

Star Trek: Discovery Is one of the best new shows on TV. It has completely blown me away. Each episode feels like a movie, a truly epic science fiction movie. The characters are all multi-layered and deeply interesting. Every time I watch it I get so engaged, more than any other show. The Orville is also admittedly very good, but Star Trek just has something the Orville doesnt. I think its the character writing. Its truly on another level. I'm so glad this show has been picked up for another season, in spite of the stupid medium it airs on.

Netflix also has all the episodes available in some countries (like Brazil) if you don't have access to CBS you can just change your location and watch that way.

Not only is the show good, but it's running on Netflix with no delay. Can't stop watching.

But why? It's the worst mix of one-dimensional acting, badly reused ideas and left-wing propaganda I've ever seen. This show needed a sex scandal to survive. Orville had MUCH better integrity and it's a parody. Sad
