Is This Why Michael Scott Will Leave The Office?

Now leaving Lackawanna County! Wait, what? On Thursday's episode of The Office, Michael Scott almost left Dunder Mifflin Sabre in the dust to help build a school in Mexico. Although he didn't quite make it south of the border, the episode seemed to set up Michael's impending exit, which star Steve Carell has been talking about since July. During the christening of little Cece Halpert, it was one stab to Michael's all-too fragile self-worth after another. First, he found out he was unsurprisingly not chosen to be Cece's godfather (that honor went to some guy named Seth that Pam met at Mommy and Me). Then, he was mercilessly mocked by Kevin, Stanley and company for trying to convince everyone to volunteer together (you know, to go to Africa or send some cheerleaders to regionals). "What is so horrible about wanting to get together and doing something nice," he asked. Michael sensed something might be missing from his life. In contrast to his co-workers at Dunder Mifflin Sabre, the youth ministry also at the church welcomed his presence, greeting him with warm welcomes and hand-shakes. So rather than put up with his cynical colleagues, Michael embraced the holy spirit and the free hugs, and followed them to Mexico to build a new school. But Carell's time isn't quite up and Michael didn't even make it out of the state of Pennsylvania. Michael's epiphany may be the first signal that one of TV's best — and worst — bosses is really on his way out the door. If his work family refuses to fill the void left by the lack of a real family, then isn't it time Michael go out and give it one last chance at finding someone to truly share his life with? For all of his hair-brained ideas and short-lived decisions, Michael has talked about wanting to hear the pitter patter of little feet in his condo since the beginning of the series. So isn't it about time he really fought for what he wanted? What do you think? Does Michael deserve a break? Source Here

THE OFFICE “Costume Contest” Review

Once upon a time NBC brought us a little 30 minute comedy called THE OFFICE. And it was funny. Very funny, I daresay. And the episodes would stick with you as an audience member and you’d want to re-watch them again and again. Can someone PLEASE tell me where that show went? "Costume Contest" was… okay. It was okay… and totally forgettable. I watched the episode as it aired, and about 2 hours later turned to my roommate and asked her if we’d watched The Office yet. So… that should tell you something. "Costume Contest" had potential. It was FUN to see everyone dressed up, and all gunning to win that coupon book; but it just seemed like EVERYTHING was taken just a half step too far. The opening scene with the crew and Stanley was funny up until Dwight had the tiny horse. Now before everyone says "THAT WAS THE POINT!" I REALIZE that the point was to find out how oblivious Stanley really is to things around the office – but a tiny horse? Come on. The costumes that everyone wore were hilarious: Stanley as the samurai, Creed as a mummy (after I figured out what the hell he was), Andy as … whatever vampire from True Blood, Michael as McGruber, but then there was Gabe as Lady GaGa. Again – too much!! And if ANYONE can tell me why Gabe would EVER dress like Lady GaGa, that’d be AWESOME. I am open to all your thoughts/opinions, because I don’t see it. Also, I’m getting REALLY old and am not up on pop culture references; because I had NO IDEA what Ryan and Kelly (in either of her costumes) were supposed to be. So… again, if anyone could help me out with that, that’d be great. The Jim/Pam/Danny triangle scenes were… awkward at times. I understand Pam’s motives for wanting to know why Danny didn’t call her back, but the quasi investigation into their failed relationship was too much for me. It does seem like the writers of The Office are attempting to test us as an audience to see how we’d like Daryl as manager once Michael leaves. What do you think about this possible replacement? So, over all "Costume Contest" was forgettable for me, but a few highlights: Stanley: "How many freakin’ vampires am I supposed to care about?" Angela as the nurse (but HOW out of character??) Michael: "Do you know what just happened? I just made Kevin cry, and Gabe looks like Lady GaGa. That is NOT Halloween." What did you think? And can you PLEASE provide answers to my questions? The Office: What Should Jim & Pam Title Their Tot?

So now that one of America's favorite TV couples is about to have a baby, we have to ask: What will they name it? The Office is a comedy after all, so the possibilities are endless. Will Jim and Pam go the celebrity baby name route and name their child after a fruit? Orange Halpert-Beasley really doesn't have a nice ring to it. Or will someone in the office be the baby's namesake Michael Scott Halpert, anyone? Now it's your turn: What should Jim and Pam name their little one?

NBC Thursday Comedies - Who Did Christmas Best? - Featured

If you tuned into the full NBC comedy lineup last night of Community , Parks & Recreation , The Office and 30 Rock - you probably noticed that there was a whole lot of Christmas. So - which show do you think tackled the holidays the best? Was it Community 's " Comparative Religion " with a guest starring Anthony Michael hall? Was it Parks & Recreation 's " Christmas Scandal ''' - a hilarious sendup of governmental sex scandals? Was it The Office 's " Secret Santa " - with Phyllis and Michael's battle for who got to be Santa Claus (but also the re-hashing of the slightly less festive "business is in trouble" recession plot)? Or was it 30 Rock 's similarly-titled (and by similarly I mean identical) " Secret Santa " - guest starring Julianne Moore? Which did you watch? Who did the holidays best? Personally, I think P&R has been on a roll! Image courtesy of Videogum

QUESTION- Favorite episode?

Ah! The Office. Such a amazing show! Best comedy I've ever seen. Why? Because for once, a American comedy show does not rime with SITCOM. You don't watch this for 3 characters and theirs relationships, but for 20 characters, each one for differents reasons! I've seen every episode since the first one, and I laughed more with Micheal Scott than with Adam Sandler or Will Ferrell, smile more to see Jim and Pam talking at the reception than any others couples screaming their love THAN break up THAN make up in any other TV show or romantic comedy, and I enjoy every character of this show: Creed (HILARIOUS!), Dwight, Kevin, Andy, Oscar, Meredith, Kelly, Toby, Stanley, Phillis, Angela, MOSE!, David Wallace, Charles, Roy, Darryl, even Jan!!!! Bottom line, my question for you is: After 6 seasons, what is YOUR favorite episode? Me, it's hands down "Niagara". This episode had everything. It was hilarious, even stupid but something very subtle and very cute. I got a millions littles moments of hilarity for this episode: 1) Dwight kicking the bridesmaid 2) Micheal putting entire soup cans behind his car with the "GOING TO A WEDDING" 3) Stanley's shoes 4) Jim passing his last bachelor night with Micheal and Dwight "It just happened" 5) Andy sleeping in Pam's room. "Andy, did I dream that you were crying?" 5)Oscar and Kevin's dance!!!!! I can go on and on... (that's what she said) What about you?

The Office Season 6, Episodes 4&5: Was 'Niagara' JAM-Packed to Perfection? - Featured

The Office was under some serious pressure to deliver with this week's five-season awaited Jim and Pam wedding! There has rarely been a couple on TV so insanely adored by fans, and the only thing worse than a couple like this not getting together is them getting together then something huge like their wedding being an utter disappointment. So what do you think now that you've finally gotten to see ' Niagara, Part 1 ' and ' Niagara, Part 2 '? Did you adore all the hysterical things that went wrong on their special weekend from Andy's scrotum injury, to Jim spilling the beans on Pam's pregnancy, to them actually getting married before they got married? Did you love the YouTube wedding dance turned Office? (And btw, how crazy thrilled would you be if you had a hit YouTube video spoofed by The Office??) I, for one, will admit I was a little misty right along with the Maiden of the Mist moment for JAM, and I loved every second of this episode, so how about you? Was the wedding episode JAM-packed to perfection or did you find some disappointments?
