Review of The Wire

60 minutes

The Wire chronicled the Baltimore drug scene, seen through the eyes of drug dealers and law enforcement. Every part of the drug "food chain" was depicted, from junkies to dealers, and from cops to politicians. It ran for 5 seasons on HBO, airing its series finale on March 9, 2008.

A magnificent show in all respects ! A fight for every street corner gangs of drug traffickers , the police deaf war to eradicate this scourge , illegal businesses , politicians , journalists liars , an abnormal development of children because of the environment they live . A serial tough but realistic! The five seasons of The Wire made one of the best series of all time , creating memorable characters and lines that you will not forget ! I am very impressed with the originality , the only weak point is the advance technology in 10 years ( a huge leap : pagers , telephones , cars , etc.) . Replies smart , action , humor , drama, everything you can want from a serial . Omar 's character is simply captivating . Recommended for those who have not seen yet !
