One of Sota's older sisters, Kozue, collapses in front of Wagnaria, but he tries to keep the fact they are related from everyone else. Mahiru and and chef Hiroomi Soma find out however, and Mahiru also finds out that Sota used to be dressed like a girl as a child. Sota pleads with her to keep both this and his sister from everyone else. Sota wonders what kind of person Hiroomi is, and quickly realizes that he uses people's secrets to blackmail them to do his work for him, despite appearing to be cheerful. Due to a comment from Hiroomi, Yachiyo asks Jun if he likes Kyoko, much to his annoyance. Sota later finds out that Hiroomi is afraid of Mahiru and that he used to get punched a lot more before Sota started working at Wagnaria.
