Z Nation Season 4 Episode 12 Review: Mt. Weather

Ad Omnia Finem. To the end of everything, for this season anyway. Z Nation Season 4 Episode 12 went down almost exactly as I predicted in my review of Z Nation Season 4 Episode 11 , with Warren actually being the human trigger for the Black Rainbow, not the savior. The lead up to the final episode was a bit of a snore: the crew went to Mount Weather, found the President, and was off to D.C. to save the day. Warren's visions have been spot on all season, and they were that way to very end.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/12/z-nation-season-4-episode-12-review-mt-weather/

Z Nation Season 4 Episode 11 Review: Return to Mercy Labs

At long last, the true purposeof Black Rainbow is revealed. Z Nation Season 4 Episode 11 finally gives us the goods on Black Rainbow, and it exactly lines up with the theory I put forth in my review of Z Nation Season 4 Episode 2 : it's a doomsday weapon designed to wipe out everything on Earth except the Zona folks.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/12/z-nation-season-4-episode-11-review-return-to-mercy-labs/

Z Nation Season 4 Episode 10 Review: Frenemies

Sketchy and Skeezy are back, which usually means nothing good for everyone involved. Z Nation Season 4 Episode 10 gives us everyone's favorite con men, this time in a weird, crazy barbershop setting. More a bottle episode than anything else, the flimsy plot is the jumping off point for plenty of slapstick shenanigans involving Doc, Murphy, Sketchy, and Skeezy.   ...Read More... https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/12/z-nation-season-4-episode-10-review-frenemies/

Z Nation Season 4 Episode 9 Review: We Interrupt This Program

He's baaack! Z Nation Season 4 Episode 9 heralds the return of the much-missed Citizen Z (whose real name is Simon, btw). Kaya in the skyabashed the noggin of a presumed Zona goon but was instead pleasantly surprised to find her boo under the parka hood. ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/11/z-nation-season-4-episode-9-review-we-interrupt-this-program/

Z Nation Season 4 Episode 8 Review: Crisis Of Faith

Oh, Canada! Z Nation Season 4 Episode 8 strays even farther away from Warren's mission east, this time all the way to the Great White North. The dueling tones of the episode didn't really work for me this time. What has made Z Nation compelling so far is the decidedly more dramatic take on the crew's journey.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/11/z-nation-season-4-episode-8-review-crisis-of-faith/

Z Nation Season 4 Episode 7 Review: Warren's Wedding

Well, that was different. Z Nation Season 4 Episode 7 starts in a decidedlysomber mood, showing the immediate aftermath of Lucy's tragic death. From there it goes totally off the rails, hearkening back to the show's gonzo beginnings. What we ended up with was a mixed bag: the sad stuff was very sad, the funny bits were not as funny as they could have been for a general audience, and Murphy got to work through his grief and rage, so there's that.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/11/z-nation-season-4-episode-7-review-warrens-wedding/

Z Nation Season 4 Episode 6 Review: Back From The Undead

Simply heartbreaking. Z Nation Season 4 Episode 6 dealt the audience a horrifying gut punch in what was, IMO, the single best episode in the history of the series. Lucy, despite the fractured relationship with her dad Murphy, committed the ultimate sacrifice, saving his life at the cost of her own. Death in zombie shows is nothing new, with most of them occurring to the monsters in video game style. The hook isin how imaginative the writers can make the kills.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/11/z-nation-season-4-episode-6-review-back-from-the-undead/

Z Nation Season 4 Episode 5 Review: The Unknowns

When in doubt, ALWAYS follow the Puppy Chow map. In a drastic break from the usual, Z Nation Season 4 Episode 5 sent us down the rabbit hole, to a hellish hour of weird sounds, Z ambushes and dirty jobs for the crew to complete. It starts out innocently enough, with Warren in front, and everyone else playing follow the leader east. They come across an abandoned semi, and that's when it gets weird: REALLY weird. What follows is a master class in building and sustaining tension from Director J.D. McKee.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/10/z-nation-season-4-episode-5-review-the-unknowns/

Z Nation Season 4 Episode 4 Review: A New Mission: Keep Moving

Something is VERY wrong with Lt. Roberta Warren, and Murphy isn't feeling too chipper, either. On Z Nation Season 4 Episode 4 , more and more clues emerge about just what in the hell Warren went through at Zona, and it's painting a pretty scary picture. Roberta finally came clean to the gang about the visions we've known about for weeks, and they were just as gobsmacked as all of us. Murphy was ready to put it all aside as PTSD, but Doc and Lucy knew better.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/10/z-nation-season-4-episode-4-review-a-new-mission-keep-moving/

Z Nation Season 4 Episode 3 Review: The Vanishing

As The Murphy always says, "Never get out of the boat." On Z Nation Season 4 Episode 3 , Murphy and Warren make it to the mainland after their escape from Zona, but their reunion with the old crew is overshadowed by a terrifying new set of circumstances. The first of these is the decidedly frosty reception Murphy got from his daughter, Lucy. Saving her from the clutches of the evil Zona folks doesn't seem to cut any ice with our blue girl when it comes to Murphy. Yes, Murphy left her with a foster family, but in his mind, it was for her protection.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/10/z-nation-season-4-episode-3-review-the-vanishing/
