The Brittas Empire is a BBC television sitcom that ran from 1991 to 1997. Chris Barrie starred as Gordon Brittas, the well-meaning but unbearably obnoxious 'manager from hell' of a sports facility called Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre. Barrie appeared in this series concurrently with his co-starring role as Arnold Rimmer on Red Dwarf.
