American Idol Episode Recap: Hollywood Week, Part 3 Season 9, Episode 11

American Idol is finally getting to the good stuff. After the final performances from some of the judges' and fans' early favorites, the judges deliberate and save two out of three rooms of contestants before advancing the first seven singers into the top 24. The judges have a lot of decisions to make, so let's just get right into the best and worst performances of the evening as well as Season 9's first Top 24 contestants.

Angela Martin, "American Boy"

Not only does she have a very soulful voice but Angela has great stage presence.

Casey James, "Bubbly"

How can you not love this guy's voice? He's daring in doing a song that tends to attract female vocalists. Also, it will be humorous to see how the cameras play out Kara's attraction towards Casey (right now she thinks she's being funny but she's actually coming off as creepy).

Todrick Hall, "I'm Yours"

Todrick is the third in a row to perform this Jason Mraz tune but he truly makes it his own with his notable vocal prowess.

Ashley Rodriquez, "Battlefield"

If you close your eyes, at first she sounds like a dead ringer for Jordin Sparks on the Idol winner's hit single, but Ashley's vocal talents and her commanding presence sets her apart.
