'Deadliest Catch' continues to post record rating


The final episodes of Deadliest Catch that address the late Capt. Phil Harris continue to draw record audiences to the Discovery Channel. The July 6 episode - dubbed Cain and Abel - posted stellar ratings and attracted the largest audience (5.26 million) ever for the show. The episode also lured 3.08 million persons 25-54 and 2.55 million persons 18-49 - the largest audience ever in the demographic for a series in Discovery's history.


Deadliest Catch was the No. 1 ad-supported cable telecast in prime time in almost every demographic that night.


The July 13 episode, titled After the Catch, will include a tribute to Harris while Deadliest Catch: Captain Phil Harris Remembered will bow July 20 and feature one-on-one interviews with fellow captains and Phil's sons, Josh and Jake.
