It's only the beginning. I don't know how many times I've heard that line going into the first four episodes of ABC's V. But it looks like it really is a long road ahead before we get to the bottom of this alien mystery.
I was actually expecting that the midseason finale, if I could call it that, would lead us to a clearer direction on the Visitors' true agenda, and what they really want with Tyler but I didn't exactly get the answers I was hoping for. Instead, the show left fans with a fuzzy cliffhanger involving Anna getting naked and mentally reaching out to her kind and the fact that there are giant V ships waiting in space, seemingly ready to strike at Anna's beck and call. It's not really a climactic cliffhanger but it's enough to keep me curious until the show returns in March.
Still, I'm confused about what the arrival of more space ships means considering that Anna and her crew are already roaming free within the borders of our nation, while other Visitors are already walking amongst us even before Anna's introduction to the human race. Luckily, Joel Gretsch, who plays Father Jack Landry on the show, offered some clues on the big mystery.
"[The massive incoming armada] certainly points out that there is something very important that the Vs are coming to do, and that they've been planning this for a long time," Gretsch told Fancast.com. "There's a big fight coming, and maybe [the Earthlings] are more matched than they would assume."
