'Brothers and Sisters': Execs Zoom in on Show's Future

The season four finale of Brothers and Sisters ended on a tragic note, with an intense car pile up and casualties all around. Next season though, we're hoping things look up for the Walker family. According to the show's executive producers, it's possible, but of course drama just can't be avoided.

As it was reported before, Brothers and Sisters will kick off their new installment with a fastforward into the future. It will be one year after the accident, and the series heads explained just why they've decided to do it.

"The part that's interesting about the notion of jumping a year is how do these people get to where we're picking them up when that's so different from where we left them," director and executive producer (also actor) Ken Olin told the Los Angeles Times.
