'Hell's Kitchen': Tana Ramsay Talks About Infidelity Rumors

With all the infidelity business going on, Tana Ramsay says she's confident that her 17-year marriage to Hell's Kitchen host Gordon Ramsay will remain strong, despite the "hurt" from allegations that the celebrity chef had an affair in 2008.

"We had an amazingly close relationship, amazing trust and loyalty, and that hasn't changed in any way, shape or form," Tana tells UK's the Mail in what is seen as the first time that she talked about the accusations.

"It hurt both of us hugely. We wanted to be together a lot. We both felt completely battered and bruised. The only ones we wanted to talk to were each other."

A scandal broke out in 2008 when tabloids reported Gordon's alleged seven-year affair with "professional mistress" Sarah Symonds, also a former mistress of disgraced UK politician ex-Tory minister Lord Archer.

Symonds, who wrote Having an Affair? A Handbook for the Other Woman, made a surprise appearance on the season 5 finale of Hell's Kitchen. Gordon has publicly denied the charge.

Like any couple, Tana says she and Gordon "fight over silly things" but at the end of the day, she "only had to look at him" to know that he's being faithful. That Gordon has to periodically fly across the Atlantic, she admits, puts a strain on their marriage.

"It hurt both of us hugely. We wanted to be together a lot. We both felt completely battered and bruised. The only ones we wanted to talk to were each other."

Hell's Kitchen season 7 will kick off on June 1, Tuesday.
