Heroes Featured News: Which Blonde Wants Out?

Everyone has a theory about which Heroes cast member wants out ever since E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos released a blind item earlier this month. As reported before, the article doesn't name the actor but does offer some clues: First, he or she has been on Heroes since the first season. Taking out the said actor will likely create chaos among fans since he or she "has more name recognition than others in the cast." This means, the network is not likely to release such a valuable asset. Last but not the least, the actor could easily be revived from an end-of-season death if he or she stays on the show.

BuddyTV's Meghan Carlson already trimmed the mystery down to four people: Masi Oka, Hayden Panettiere, Ali Larter, and Milo Ventimiglia. But most recently, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello narrowed down the search even more.

Apparently, Ausiello is referring to either Hayden Panettiere or Ali Larter. The actress' dissatisfaction reportedly comes from lack of camera time and is asking to be let go of his or her contract at the end of the season. And in order for that to happen, a death scene has reportedly been written for the actor's character at the conclusion of the season. On the other hand, that might not just happen.

''I can confirm that one of those actresses has indeed asked to be released from her contract. But I hear NBC is unlikely to allow it, Ausiello hinted.

If discussions don't work out and the said actress is retained, writers would have to cleverly plot the actress' return, which shouldn't be a big problem given Claire's regeneration abilities and Tracy's twin powers.

Like most Heroes fans, I also think that Ali Larter is the blonde in question. Her departure wouldn't really have a significant impact on the show. What do you think?

I personally don't like the switch they did with Ali's character, it's just silly. They either need to keep her as the character she is now or get rid of her altogether.

I love Hayden. So, I hope its not her.. she's one of the reasons I actually watch Heroes. I'm not really a fan of Ali's.. so.. I have no opinion on that. I just hope Heroes doesn't get canceled. :)

The show can't get worse...I think losing "tracy" or whatever she is now would help it some. I liked Niki. Don't care for what happened to that plotline. And Ali doesn't get the camera time anymore, that's for sure.

Really Ali Larter isn't adding anything to the show and I've really not liked her since they tried to throw her in to resident evil and pretend she was Clair redfield. The only thing i can see her doing is turn on the people that just saved her and join the bad guys at some point. It's kind of blatant.
To be fair i also don't think Hayden adds anything to the show except maybe someone that is invincible but constantly needs saved. At least in comic books when someone is immortal/invincible, they try and push their body to limit and become someone that can fight or take care of themselves...Everytime i see her in the show i'm wondering who is gonna beat her down this episode.
Honestly i was happy with sylar being somewhat a good guy in the future after seeing his character develop from some bad guy you never saw his face, to some bad guy that is still killing people but has a glimpse of hope. Throwing him into the abyss and killing off his only love interest after showing us his future family is kind of back tracking.

Let her go if she doesn't want to be there, I remember when the show was new and the creators had said characters would be coming and going so far everyone keeps coming back to life. Granted why would you get rid of good characters to only replace them with the likes of Maya and her brother.

I haven't liked any of Ali Larter's characters so far, or the plotlines they're involved with. Honestly, I'd be glad, they could easily kill off some of the more uninteresting characters and replace them with new, INTERESTING ones. And I was kinda hoping the "Villains" chapter would actually introduce some good NEW villains. Sylar's evil-one-day-not-evil-the-next routine is getting tiring.

Truely i loved Ali as she was nikki i loved how she was the family girl always protecting the family, i think Ali should not have died as nikki and i wished that they would bring Mica back into the show. He was my favourite. But, Hayden i dunno she is sorta starting to piss me off: thinking that she is all tuf trying to save the world! But truely i think heroes will proble get cancelled; unless they give it a bit of a twist or something like that; the plot is starting to become really really predictable.. thats why it is turning to many people off.

Hayden gets a lot of screen time. Heck, the entire first season was about her. Save the cheerleader, save the world?
Ali Larter adds next to nothing to the show. She doesn't work as a sex symbol because her body is mediocre. You can see that at the grocery store. Her back shot in the opening episode made me yawn. Hayden or Kristen from the back would have jolted me awake.
She doesn't work as an actress. Her facial expressions are limited to a smirk signifying cleverness/sexiness and a look of fear that can be mistaken for constipation.
You can kill her off and have her play another sister/clone.
Oh, I think they had her switch characters because she had reached the limits of acting ability with Nikki. If she stayed as Nikki, Nikki the character would have grown while Ali the actress would have been stuck in a rut. With playing a new character, you can temporarily forgive her wooden acting ability.
It's probably just hype to get you interested in Ali. The producers have to know that Ali is at the bottom rung of popularity. By creating a net rumor about her quitting, they turn a negative into publicity for the show.

i miss Micah! if they keep Ali they really should find away for WHOMEVER her character ends up being to connect w/ him and bring him back to the show. and what happened to his motor-mimic cousin??? i was excited about her too cuz that's an interesting power that they could have really done a lot with. it seems like they just killed off or got rid of anyone who wasn't connected enough to the Petrellis. :(

i think this show has nowhere to go they saved the cheerleader.. that was fun. now bro v. bro and mother v. father is getting boring, i mean until peter gets his scar and his abilities back the show is just a bunch of ppl complaining and after that it will b abunch of ppl fighting which will loose its appeal all to fast, belive me.

I hope its Claire. Oh she is sooooo Boring. Her basic demeanor in the show is an angry face and one-liners like "I hate you" or "Dad". Ali on the other hand is awesome. Jessica/Nikki were great. When they died I was sad. The new Tracy is ok. Not as awesome as Jess but better than Claire. If I hear another "Dad?" I will scream. Well if Tracy dies we still have Rebecca or whatever. I forget her name.

Tracy is boring. I can't imagine that that role would be a huge push to stay on the show, especially watching how big of a step down it is from Nikki/Jessica. The whole Nikki-DL-Micah thing was fun to me because it wasn't about this huge world altering battle for the future, it was just people with super powers trying to do the right thing...and isn't that what this show was originally about? And they kill that to add in a snuggly anne coulter who uses her power like three times in the whole chapter?
And Claire's not a cheerleader anymore. Stop Saving Her. There's places that character can go...so she best be getting there before I get rid of my TV after BSG ends.

I'd be happy if both of them left the show, to be honest.
