In this week's episode, Earl (Jason Lee) did more than he's done in a while to raise karma's profile and bring good into the world - and he didn't even have to cross anything off of his list.
While unable to sleep one night, in the trailer for fear that the "Shower Cap Killer" is lurking outside, Earl and Randy (Ethan Suplee) investigate only to find Mr. Turtle on the doorstep. Having been on more adventures than any turtle I've ever heard of, he's finally returned. Funnily enough, Earl somehow has knowledge of all the drugs, nudists, and lady-turtles he's encountered, but I digress. Later at the Crab Shack, which has become a gay hotspot since Kenny James (Gregg Binkley) took over Darnell's (Eddie Steeples) job, Earl opens a can of turtle food to find a note which had been left by the Crabman. In it, he provides a phone number to call if Mr. Turtle returns. The number goes to Darnell's hair-phone, which apparently self-destructs after one use - after he provides Earl his new address where Mr. Turtle is to be shipped, he tosses the phone in a waste basket in his office building and it apparently disintegrates.
Kenny and Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) help to convince Earl that he should personally deliver Mr. Turtle to Darnell now that he has the address. Leaving Randy behind because of his penchant for car sickness, Earl sets out on the road. Upon arrival, he finds Joy (Jaime Pressly) living in her mansion as Goldie. Unexpectedly, she's not concerned with having her cover blown, but with Earl possibly embarrassing her in front of her new socialite friends - she's desperately trying to fit in, but they stick their noses up whenever a hint of her Camden ways pokes through. But in his haste while being chased away, Earl temporarily blinds a small dog with his heavy car exhaust. The dog belongs to one of Joy's friends and after taking it to the vet, he personally returns it without telling Joy.
