The judges put their reputations on the line last night when they each picked four acts to compete one last time for a place in the semi-finals. Therefore, last night's performance show was personal for the judges, which meant more bickering and disagreement when they made comments following the performances.
Piers gloated in the introduction of tonight's result show, saying that his acts all got the crowd on their feet, while the picks from the two other judges were not that great. This prompted Shannon to instantly tell Piers he was delusional!
Was Sharon right ? Or will Piers' wild card picks get all, or most, of the semi-finals spots?
First up were Kruti Dance Academy, Michael Grasso, Swing Shift Side Show and Rudi Macaggi. After the usual long pause filled by crowd cheers, Nick announced that magician Michael would be moving on to the semi-finals. This means we will have four magicians in the next round!!!
Speaking of magicians, the first guest performer of the week was magician/illusionist Criss Angel. Of course, his performance was mostly a promo for his Cirque du Soleil show, but it was nonetheless impressive and mind-blowing. He first performed the upside-down straight-jacket escape that Houdini took five minutes to do. Criss did it in one minute!
