This week's elimination continues to skew the number of men versus women on 'So You Think You Can Dance.' Melinda was obviously going to be in the bottom three, but I'm shocked by who else was in the bottom. Next week adjusts the format to fill a two-hour show better, so the performers have one dance with an all-star and one dance with the competitor. It will be interesting to see the competitors side-by-side, which may finally show the weakness of Jose's dancing or the lack of chemistry from Adechike.
Group Dance - The power of "O Fortuna" fell flat for me. It seemed odd that none of the dancers were close to synchronized. If this group was on 'America's Got Talent,' I would have X-ed them. If this is the first performance we saw that was choreographed by Jamel Gaines, I hope we never see him again because that group routine was boring.
First group of four are up and Alex is easily the first competitor safe. He is followed by Ashley, Adechike and Kent when Cat manages a fake-out. The following three contestants continue and Lauren is safe. Both Robert and Billy are in the bottom two. Mia believes that the two contestants lack connection with the audience. Billy needs growth and vulnerability. Mia knows that Robert has a great personality, but he needs to find himself on a personal journey. The last two contestants are up and Melinda is in the bottom three. Jose is safe for another week. Adam wants Melinda to have both vulnerability and abandon. Jose's charisma is winning votes.
