This season of 'Big Brother' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) introduces a new concept known as "the saboteur." What's that all about? The saboteur is a contestant secretly inserted into the show, in order to ruin all the other players' strategy. The viewers of the series will learn the saboteur's identity this Thursday. But the players on the show will be kept in the dark until they actually manage to solve the mystery on their own.
On the latest episode, the saboteur suddenly appears on the house's big 'Justice League'-style video screen, and announces a new surprise. Even though all the contestants are supposed to have never met before, the shadowy figure on the screen says that two of the players are actually life-long best friends.
This announcement leads to instant accusations and finger-pointing from the none-too-smart players. Contestant Andrew jumps up, and says that he's totally not involved in any of this! He's completely innocent! Why? Because he's Jewish! ... Huh? Say what now? What does that have to do with anything? Andrew's speech just makes the other contestants suspect him more. Is he one of the secret friends? Is the the actual "saboteur"? Quick, everyone! Grab him! He's the bad guy!
No, we actually have no clue as to what is going on. But we'll at least get another piece of the puzzle on Thursday.
