In anticipation of the new season of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' the restaurateurs in the Franklin Lakes vicinity have decided to anchor all dining tables to the floor like McDonald's and Burger King. That way, Teresa can't be doing any table-flipping unless she's wearing a cape with a giant 'S' in red and has an aversion to Kryptonite.
No seriously -- and table-flipping is hardly that -- those Jersey women are coming back. Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' returns Monday, May 3 at 10 PM ET. And unlike some editions of the 'Real Housewives,' all the principals are part of the action.
Caroline, the Tony Soprano of the bunch, and her decorator/event planner/smothering mom little sister Dina Manzo; their sister-in-law Jacqueline, who had a baby last season; the bizarrely controversial Danielle Staub, with more secrets than a Danielle Steele novel; and, my fave, Teresa Giudice, Madame La Tableau.
After watching 'The Real Housewives of New York City' last night, with so much fighting and so many fashion shows and not a lot of reality, the prospects of the Manzos and the others getting their thing going is welcoming. Also, when Joel spoke to Andy Cohen, it got me psyched for the new season.
Who knows, maybe this season Teresa will be able to find her way across the George Washington Bridge to New York City without getting lost? That would set up the Godzilla meeting I've longed for -- when the New York divas meet the Jersey girls. What a rumble that would be!
