First off, let's be clear about one thing: even though the commercials would have you think this was Part One of the two-hour Covert Affairs season finale, in reality, it was just the first of two episodes that happened to air back-to-back. There were no new developments in regards to the season-long threads we've been waiting for, like Ben Mercer's story, Liza Hearn's source or Danielle's struggle to leave the kitchen each episode. Instead, this was just a solid, stand-alone episode that provided Annie with a different kind of mission than what we're used to. Instead of a contact, confidant, or someone in a position in power, "I Can't Quit You, Baby" had Annie going undercover as a mark waiting to get turned.
